Billie's Lover
Chapter 1
*Clara's POV*
It was a lazy Sunday afternoon in the middle of may, I was lounging around on the couch and my roomate Hannah was up in her room attempting to finish her novel that she had been working on for the past 8 months.
I started to doze off when the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hi, it's Billie" said a quiet voice on the other end of the line.
"Oh hey" I said sitting up a bit, "What's up?"
"Meet me at The Can't Fail in 20" He replied, then quickly hung up.
I knew what he meant right away by "The Can't Fail." He was refuring to Mike's Cafe where we hang out together most of the time...
I got up and knocked on Hannah's door.
"What?" She said sounding very frusterated.
"I'm meeting Billie down and the cafe, wanna take a break and join me?" I asked
"No, I should keep working if I ever want to finish" She replied with I sigh.
"Alright" I said, "See yah later then"
I grabed the keys to the car and headed out the door.
It was about a 15 minute drive from our place to the cafe.
I should've walked, I thought to myself as I entered the Cafe, it's such a nice day.
But my thoughts were interupted when I felt someone's hand on my sholder.
I turned around, a bit startled, to see Mike's smiling face.
"Hey" He said with a chuckle, knowing he scared me.
"Hey!" I said exited to see him.
"You meetin' Bill here too?" He asked.
"Yep" I replied.
"He sounded kinda weird on the phone though" I said, "What do yah think this is about?"
"Dunno" He said with a shrug, "Probably just wants to hang out as usual..."
"Guess so" I replied
We went over to the loung area where we usually sit when Tre and Munson walked in, hand in hand.
They had been going steady for nearly as long as Hannah had been trying to write her book...
"Hey guys!" I said with a wave to catch their attention.
They waved back and came and sat down.
"Hey dare!" Said Munson with a huge smile on her face, "Where's Hannah?"
"Working on her novel" I replied "Where else?"
Just then Billie walked in and came and sat down with us.
"Hey Bill" We all said in unison.
Everyone laughed, except Billie...
"Guys..." He said looking very serious.
We all shut up almost institainiously.
"I have somthing to tell you..." He said looking down at the floor.
"Me and Adie... We..." He paused.
"We've decided to get divorced..."
