The Alphabet Challenge

"No Alex" repeated Matt for what felt like the millionth time
"But why not?" whined Alex "I won't even make a mess"
Matt just laughed at that "You? Not make a mess?"

Alex pouted and lifted up the watermelon high above his head and proceeded to the checkout of the supermarket.
"No Alex! Wait!" yelled Matt as he chased after him "Come back!"
Alex stopped in front of a display of oranges as he turned to Matt "And why should I listen to you?"
"Because" said Matt "I'm your boss"
Alex took another step towards the cashier
"Because if you go back to the bus Jack will want one too and I don't want to come back here?" Matt said convincingly but Alex just shook his head and took another step towards the checkout
"Nuh Huh I'll share"

"Because . . . " Matt trailed off
"Don't you love me anymore?!" Yelled Alex receiving a few strange looks from the other customers
"Alex!" said Matt before walking up to Alex and grabbing his upper arm "Of course I love you"
"Well then why won't you let me buy this watermelon?" pouted Alex "You're being mean"

Matt sighed "Alex" he said "Would you rather get the watermelon . . ."
Alex nodded his head enthusiastically "Or not share a room with me at the next hotel stop?"
Matt knew it was a low blow but he REALLY didn't want Alex to take that watermelon back to the bus
Alex froze and pouted at Matt once more "That's not fair!"
"It's your choice Alex" said Matt letting go of Alex's arm.

He just hoped that he knew his boyfriend well enough to know what he was going to do next.
