We're Complete Opposites But I Still Love You

I woke up fairly early for it being Saturday.
I rolled over and checked my phone.
It read 10:17am in bright blue numbers.
I groaned and rolled over snuggling farther into my pillow and clutching my blanket tighter.
I didn't feel like getting up.
I didn't want to deal with Jason and-
That's when it hit me.
I shot up in bed and widened my eyes.
Jason and I kissed!
He actually was attracted to me!
Of all the people to pick from and it's me!

"Nice bed head."

I gasped and looked towards the door and therr he stood smiling.
I flopped back on the bed and covered myself with the blanket.
I felt the bed sink in.

"Go away. You can't see me this terrible." I said.
"I just did. And you're cute with bed head."

I pulled the blanket down and little just so I could see him.

"But i'm not wearing any makeup." I whispered.
"So? I think a girl is beautiful without it."

I smiled and he pulled the blanket down a little more.

"Why don't you get dressed and meet me downstairs so we can get out if this house."

I groaned.

"But I just want to stay in bed..."

He smirked.
Oh shit.
He climbed in bed with me and wrapped his arms around me.
I hesitated.

"You can lay your head on my chest. I don't mind."

So I did.
And it was nice.
I took in his smell.
Hollister cologne.
Typical.
But I wasn't complaining.
I smiled and closed my eyes.

A few minutes later he must've thought I was asleep.

"If only you knew how much I love you. I never meant to hurt you in the past. It was the guys. In order for them to stay friends with them. But I don't care anymore. The only thing I care about is you." He took a deep breath.
"I love you so much, Teal, and you don't even know it. I'm too nervous and scared to tell you. I'm scared you won't say it back..."

Then it was silent until I fell asleep for real.
Jason Sands just admitted he loved me.
Oh. My. God.
I never thought I would say this but my life has been made.

I was looking through the fridge when the door to the kitchen opened.
I looked to see who it was and found Jason.
Here's my chance.

"I heard you." I said quietly.

He stopped what he was doing.
I closed the fridge and looked at him.

"What?"
"I heard what you said this morning. You obviously thought I was asleep."
"What did I say?"
"That you love me...."

He froze then relaxed.

"No I didn't. You must've been dreaming. I'd never say that." He said harshly while chuckling.

I stared in disbelief.
I knew it was too good to be true.
Jason Sands caring for me?
Pfft. Never.
A single tear rolled down my cheek.

"I can't believe you. I thought you actually cared. That you actually changed. Man was I WRONG."

I walked through the doors to the kitchen and towards the stairs.

"Teal!"

He stood in the hallway.
I turned towards him.

"No, Jason, I get it. It's because i'm an emo loner right? Because i'm a freak. Because my hair is blue and I have piercings. Because i'm not on eof those fucking slutty cheerleaders, isn't it?!"

We stared at each other for awhile as my cheeks were drenched in my tears.

"You know what? Nevermind."

I turned back around and ran to my room locking it.
I pressed my back to the door and slid to the ground breaking out in sobs.
I was so stupid to think he actually fucking cared.

"Teal, please listen to me." He suddenly said through the door.
"No!"
"Teal i'm sorry. I-I......I love you okay? Stephanie and the fucking cheerleading team means nothing to me. Losing you is way more serious than them. You mean more to me than the world. Seeing you smile. Hearing your laugh. Seeing you kick Brian's ass." He chuckled. "All of it means more to me, Teal. I love you so much." He whispered the last part.

By now I was at battle with myself.
Should I forget what he said and open the door?
Or stay where I am and fret over it?
