A Date With Yeah Boy

Seconds were hours, days were weeks, whatever it felt like forever. He probably didn’t call for one or two days. But like I said it was an eternity.
The day Mike called me was the end to a long day. I had to work strait through my break because a few of our waitresses quit. Fun. And of course there was huge convention nearby so at lunchtime the place was filled with bald heads and ties. The second I was in my apartment I collapsed. Literally on the floor. Billy stepped over me and fell onto the couch.
I trudged into my room and flopped on the bed. Half off my bed, I reached for my phone and yanked it off of the chord. My phone lit up with the sign of a missed call. It was an unfamiliar number. All I could do was hope when I tried to call the number. There were three long rings.

(don’t judge me)
Someone answered.
"hey, is this Kristi?"
"uh, ya"
"this is Mike"
Like I didn’t already know.
"Oh my god, hey!"
"quick question"
"ya?"
"do you still have that Sharpie I… uh… gave you?"
"ya?"
"well can write down an address and meet me there in an hour?"
