If This Is Love, I'll Love You Forever

*Danny's P.O.V.*

I looked over at Ben. He was laying down on my bed with the Les Paul that my dad had bought for him. He refused to play it. He had it since Christmas, but would just stare at it like it would hurt him. He would pluck the strings lightly, but he would never actually play anything on it.
I got up from the computer chair I was currently sitting in and walked over to him.
"Are you okay, Benny?"
"Yeah." He whispered.
I picked up the guitar and propped it against my nightstand.
I laid beside Ben and tucked my arm under the pillow. He just stared at me.
"Talk to me, Ben."
He stared at me for another minute.
His voice was low when he spoke again.
"Do you think he really wanted me gone?"
"Who, babe?"
"My dad." He whispered.
"Oh. Come here." I said and held out my arms.
He pushed himself into my arms.
I kissed him on the head. "It's gonna be okay, Ben."
"My mums birthday is today." He said quietly.
"You don't have to keep holding things in, Hun."
"I think I'm gonna go back to my room." He said in the same quiet voice. He quickly got up, leaving the guitar.
He shut the door and I heard a click from across the hall.
I sighed and stood up. I picked up his guitar and walked out of my room. I didn't want to bother him so I propped the guitar up against the wall beside his door.
I walked down the hall and knocked on the door where Seth was staying. He'd been here for four months now. Their parents practically left them here, promising to come get them.
Apparently they're in the Bahamas.
My mom doesn't wanna call the cops cause she doesn't wan Seth and Trevor to be put in some shit foster facility.
So here they are.
They were homeschooled anyways. Their parents dropped the packets off as well.
Told them to do the work and have it done before they got back.
Seth pretty much stays in his room except for when my mom makes him eat. Trevor actually likes to play drums so he comes down to band practice and hangs out.
"Who is it?" Seth asked quietly.
"Danny. Can I come in?"
"Sure." He spoke back.
I walked in and saw Seth sitting on his bed with his workbooks. He looked tired.
"You okay?"
"Yeah." He answered too quickly and pulled his knees tight to his chest. "I'm fine."
"You wanna go do something?"
"Like what?" He seemed intrigued.
"We could go see a movie."
"With Trevor and Ben too?"
"Not if you don't want them to come." I spoke. "Ben didn't seem up for anything today."
"Oh alright." He responded.
"I saw that they were playing Captain America 2 at the theater near the mall."
"Really?" He finally looked at me. He loved anything superheroes. Anyone that didn't know that. Didn't know anything about him.
"Yeah. Let's go." I smiled.
He moved his books aside and stood up.
"My shoes are downstairs." He stretched.
"Alright." I said and started walking towards the door.
Seth followed after me.
"Should we at least tell them we're leaving?" Seth spoke quietly.
"Yeah I guess we could." I replied. "You tell Trevor and I'll tell Ben?" I asked.
"Sounds good." He said and walked toward Trevor's room.
I walked toward Ben's room and knocked on the door.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Can I come in?"
"Yeah."
I picked up the guitar where it was still propped against the wall.
I walked in and saw him lying on the bed.
"Hi." He said.
"Hey you." I said and put the guitar on its stand. "Me and Seth are gonna go to a movie. Wanna come?" I sat on his bed.
"No. I think I'll stay here." He jestured to his spot.
"Okay." I was a little let down that he didn't want to join us.
"Maybe another time." He sat up and looked at me.
"Okay." I looked down at my lap and bit my lip.
Ben leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"Have fun, Danny." He smiled at me and laid back down.
I got up to leave, but looked at Ben first. He still had a smile on his face. I leaned down and kissed him on the lips.
"See you soon."
"Okay." He sighed happily and pulled the blanket up.
I left his room and pulled the door shut.
I found Seth and we left to go see the movie.
