The next day we went with Lauren to her sisters house at about 2. We left Caitlyn with Zack, i was a nervous reck about leaving her but i did. We got to Laurens sisters house and we went straight to the backyard where everyone was hanging out.
"Hey Heather" Lauren said
"Hey!, im so glad you came" Heather said, she looked just like Lauren except their features were a little different and they had different colored eyes
"This is Alex and Jack my neighbors i told you i was gonna bring today" Lauren said
"Right!, hi guys im Laurens older sister Heather" Heather said
"Hi, im Alex and this is Jack" i said introducing us to her
"Hey!. So which one has the baby?" she asked
"I do" i said
"I heard shes adorable" she said
"Yep" i said
"Do you happen to have any pictures?, i love babys" she said
"Mhmm" i said showing her my phones backround that has a picture of Caitlyn sitting on Jacks lap and shes in a cute little mint green dress
"Awww!, shes so adorable!. And look at those eyes!" she said. Caitlyn has big brown eyes its seriously to freaking cute to handle
"Thanks. I love her eyes their so big" i said
"They are. So can i get you guys somthing to drink. Alcohol perhaps? Evan brought like to much" she said
"Evan?" i said
"My boyfriend" she said and i nodded
"Uhmm...i'll take gatorade. You know i dont drink" Lauren said
"And thats why your a snooze fest. Can i get you guys some beer?" Heather asked
"I'll take whatever Laurens having. Im cutting back on the drinking" i said
"Alright, beer Jack?" Heather said and he nodded and she walked away
The BBQ was pretty fun, everyone was really easy to get along with. Later when it started to get dark we sat around a bon fire. Everyone was telling really crazy stories and it was really funny to listen to since some people were sorta drunk.
"Okay. Alex, Jack. Any funny stories from your childhood or teenage years?" Lauren asked
"Uhmm...Jack once dared me to go streaking across the football field during the game when we were seniors" i said
"I remember that!" Jack laughed
"Did you do it!?" Evan asked
"Well...yeah...2 weeks suspension" i said
"Nice dude" he said
"Lauren your turn, funny story" i said
"I once ate a cup full of worms for ten dollars" Lauren said
"Ewww really!?" i said
"Yep, nasty as hell and definitely not worth the money" she laughed
"Yeah its not" i said and my phone beeped and i pulled it out of my pocket and it was Zack who texted me. The text said: I think Caitlyns sick, very fussy and she's a little warm
"Whats wrong why do you look like someone just kicked your puppy?" Jack asked noticing my frown
"Zack texted me. Caitlyns sick. We gotta go" i said
"Oh no" he said
"Whats wrong, a cold?" Lauren asked
"Not sure. He said shes warm, i hope its just a cold and not somthing worse" i said
"Yeah. I'll drive you two home if you want. I need to get home anyways, i have a busy day tomorrow" she said
"Thanks that'd be great" i said
"Mhm. See you later guys" she said as we got up
"Bye. Hope your baby gets better" Heather said and we left
On the ride home i was doing everything in my power not to freak out. I dont even have a doctor for her to see, it should of been one of my first things to do but i didn't. We got home and i saw Zack sitting on the couch holding Caitlyn who was crying.
"Awww my babys sick!" i said taking her from him and cuddling her
"She has calmed down a bit. I think she just really needed daddy" Zack said
"Yeah" i said rocking her
"Did you two have fun at least?" he asked
"Yeah" i said
"Well i better get going. Unless you two could use the extra help tonight?" he said
"Would you stay?. Im freaking out already, we definitely use a extra person" i said
"Yeah i'll stay" he said
"Thanks Zack" i said
That night was the worst night ever. I got a total of three hours of sleep, it was either the baby or my anxiety keeping me up. We took shifts but i know it was hard on each of us each time she got up. The next morning i woke up to Jack rocking Caitlyn. I sat on the couch and laid down, i was beyond exhausted.
"How'd you sleep?" Jack asked
"Bad, you?" i asked
"Same" he sighed
"Is my baby any better?" i asked
"Nope. Even a little warmer" he said
"No!" i whinned
"She needs to see a doctor dude" he said
"She doesnt have one" i said
"Im sure she does. You just gotta be willing to call Brook to find out who she sees" he said
"Will you call her for me?" i asked
"Yeah" he said and i passed him my cell phone and he gave me Caitlyn
Jack called Brook and it turns out that Brooks dad is her doctor. I totally spaced on the fact that hes a pediatrician. I called and made her a appointment for 2:30. Me and Jack took her to her appointment, he sat in the backseat with her to calm her. We got called in a few minutes after we arrived, Brooks dad looked amused to see us.
"What a surprise" he said
"Yep" i said
"What'd you do to my granddaughter Gaskarth?" he asked
"Nothing shes sick. Diagnose her because im stressed, sleep deprived and would like to leave" i said in a pissed off tone
"So moody today" he said
"Mhm" i said
"Did you give her anything to bring down the fever?" he asked
"Nothing. I called my mom to see what i could do since i didnt know about medicine. We just put a cold cloth on her which did kinda work" i said
"No medicine at all?" he said surprised taking her temperature
"Nope. I didnt know if she had allergys to anything, i didnt wanna risk anything" i said and he sighed dissapointed
"Shes not allergic to anything. And her fever is 100" he said
"Okay. Whats wrong with her?" i asked
"Just a sinus infection. Give her some baby motrin and i'll prescribe a antibiotic" he said
"Sounds good to me" i said and he wrote up prescription
"Here. Fill it right away" he said
"Yep" i said picking her up off the table
"And Alex. If i see my granddaughter in here again i'll call the courts" he said
"You've got to be kidding me!. She got sick it wasnt my fault, kids get sick!" i said
"Whatever Alex" he said
"Your so lucky i have her with me right now because its taking everything in me not to punch you in your stupid stuck up ugly nasty fake tanned face you damn prick!" i said and he looked alarmed and we left
"Damn Alex" Jack said
"Nobody threatens my parental rights" i said

Guys im gonna get deep for a momentMCR broke up, and im like devastated. They were my first favorite band ever and if it weren't for them i may not have found my way to All Time Low or any of the other amazing bands i listen to. Their what made me really get into music. Ive loved them since like 2005. I was so upset yesterday to hear their broken up especially because i never saw them live and even though their not my all time favorite band anymore i still wanted to see them. I will always have a special place in my heart for them :). If you've seen them live i'd love to hear some of your experiences or funny stories from the show
