Well, Who's to Say You'll Have to Do it Alone?

Rian took me to the hospital, my nose ended up being broken. I got a little cast on it and they sent me home. When i got home Jack was holding Caitlyn while she slept, when he saw me he looked stunned.

"What the hell happened!?, you two just went to target to get medicine. Did you get in a gang fight?" he said

"Brooks brother was there. He punched me" i said

"What!?" he said

"Yep" i said

"Oh my god" he said

"Im just done with that family, their all nuts. The only one i will ever talk to is Brook" i said

"Good" he said

"Im going to bed" i said tossing Jack the bottle of medicine

I went to be and it took me a while to fall asleep, my mind had so much thinking going on. I got up the next morning and made coffe and iced my face. I noticed Penelopes number on the dry erase board so i decided to give her a call.

"Hello?" she said answering

"Hey Penelope, its Alex. Remember from the other day?" i said

"Oh yeah!. How are you?" she asked

"Good. I was just thinking how would you and Kristi like to meet up with me, Jack and Caitlyn for breakfast?" i asked her

"Sure. What time?" she asked

"Ten?" i said

"Sounds good, where do you wanna meet?" she asked me

"Uhm...the diner near the toy store?" i said

"Sounds good, we'll meet you there" she said

"Alright, see you later. Bye" i said and hung up

"Good morning sunshine" Jack said walking in the room

"Hey. So were gonna go meet up with Penelope and Kristi for breakfast, okay?" i said

"Oh. sounds like a blasty blast" he said

Later we left to meet up with Penelope and Kristi for breakfast. I was really excited to see them again, Penelope was really cool. We got to the diner and they already had a table and were waiting for us.

"Hey guys" i said as we sat down

"Hey" they said

"Thanks for meeting us" i said

"Of course, what happened to your face?" Penelope asked

"Uhm...nothing. Its a crazy story that i'd prefer to not talk about" i said

"Fair enough. Im actually shocked you called, i didnt think i'd hear from you" she said

"Are you mad i called?" i asked

"Not at all" she said

"Well thats good" i said

"Da!" Caitlyn said

"Looks like she wants to say hi" i said picking up Caitlyn and she squealed at Jack

"Oh my god shes so cute" Penelope said

"Yeah" i said as Caitlyn was hitting her head on me

"Thats right Caitlyn, you head-but daddy. He deserves it" Jack said

"I have a feeling that when shes older you will encourage her to do very bad things. I dont think you'll be a good influence" i said

"Hey i will be a great influence!" he said

"Mmmnnn" Caitlyn said reaching for Penelope

"I-...can i hold her?" she asked

"Totally. Shes never really opens up to people this quick, its odd" i said handing her Caitlyn

"Hey Caitlyn" Jack said waving to her

"Hi" Penelope said and Caitlyn smiled up at her

"So adorable!" Kristi said as the waitress came over to take our orders

We had breakfast and talked, it was really fun and Penelope is such a great girl. And Caitlyn seems to like her which is a plus, i could never consider dating a girl my daughter hated. After breakfast we decided to meet up at the park.

"Alex, do you think i could take Caitlyn on the swing with me?" Jack asked me

"As long as you plan on holding onto her" i said

"Of course. God do you really think I'm that much of a idiot i'd let her just chill in my lap?" he said

"Yes" i siad

"Well im not. Come on Caitlyn, Kristi. Lets leave Alex to be a dick" he said taking Caitlyn from me and Caitlyn watched me over Jacks shoulder

"That little girl really adores you" Penelope said

"I know. I love her so much, shes my life" i said

"I think its super sweet that you have such a close bond with your daughter" she said

"Yeah. Shes the best, a little crazy at times. But shes the best, shes a daddys girl" i said

"Aww. So is mommy in the picture?" she asked

"Yeah, i try not to associate myself with her or her family. Their all nuts. She has weekend custody and during the week Caitlyns all mine" i said

"Really?. And shes okay with this?" she asked

"Yep. Shes not ready to be a full time mother, she couldnt handle it. So weekends are hers" i said

"Wow, thats nuts" she said

"Mhm" i said

"But i think its really great of you to take Caitlyn on full time basically. It takes a real man to do that" she said

"Thank you. So how long have you been single?" i said

"A long time. A year maybe?" she said

"Ohh" i said

"How about you?" she asked

"Uhmm, since sometime after Caitlyn was conceived" i said

"Well were gonna need to change that" she said and i laughed and Jack and Kristi came over and Jack was shirtless and carrying Caitlyn

"Jack, dude. Theres kids here" i said

"Mhm, but Alex your baby pooped all over me" he said

"Seriously?" i said

"Yes" he said

"Cute. Hand her over" i said and he handed me Caitlyn

We hungout with Kristi and Penelope all day, it was really fun. That night me and Jack were making dinner while i had Caitlyn attached to me in the baby carrier. While i was stirring somthing i heard the door open, i looked over and it was Zack and Rian.

"Hey!" they said

"Hey" we said

"So where the hell have you two been all day?" Rian asked me

"Out with Penelope and Kristi" i said turning to completely face them

"Wow seriously?, thats great. You two need girlfriends" he said

"Well im good being just friends" Jack said

"Who the hell are Penelope and Kristi?" Zack asked

"These two girls me and Rian met at target the other day. Me and Jack went out with them the other day and today" i said

"Ohh, nice" he said

"So do you think you found a keeper?" Rian asked me

"Yes!. Shes the one, Caitlyn loves her, shes just so great!" i said

"Thats awesome!" he said

"Mhmm" i said as Caitlyn whined reaching for Rian

"Awww come here cutie. Cant believe daddy has you in this baby wrangler, especially while cooking. Is he nuts!?" he said taking Caitlyn out of the carrier

"No im not" i said

"Well then why was your daughter in that baby trap?" he asked and i flipped him off and he laughed and i went back to cooking
