White Noises

"Good morning, Adryan," Dr. Yates smiled.

"Hi."

"What's troubling you?"

"Nothing," I whispered, my eyes wide.

"Adryan...." Dr. Yates sounded worried.

"No, listen. I know I seem upset, but I have to tell you something," I whispered.

"What is it?"

"They know."

"They know what? And who are they?"

"They told me that you cheated on your girlfriend."

Dr. Yates looked stunned. "How...?"

I opened my eyes wide. "They know everything, Dr. Yates."

"Who are they, Adryan?"

"They're the voices. They know everything. They tell me things. I know things."

"Adryan, you're worrying me."

"You should be worried. Everyone should be worried. Knowledge is power. I know so much. So, so much."

"STOP, ADRYAN."

Then my trance ended and I fell down. I started to sob.

"Adryan, you need more help than I can give you. I'm going to recommend that you go to the hospital I work at. Adryan, you need this. You need help."

I nodded, unable to speak through my sobs.
