I Don't Love You

'Baby when they knock you down and out ...'

Falling in love happens as quick as one blinks,

Falling out of love is another story,

It’s a gradual decline day by day you love them less and less until there isn’t any love left. Then there’s the heartbreaking moment when you actually realise you aren’t in love with the person who one point held your heart in the palm of their hands.

She was sat across from that very person, the one who once held her heart. Gerard Arthur Way.

Tasmin felt many emotions while looking at him, guilt at the fact she’d kept this from him, regret that she hadn’t told him sooner, hesitance at what she was about to do and longing. Longing for what they once had. She knew she loved him, she just wasn’t in love with him

“There’s no easy way to say this Gee.” He looked at her with his hazel green eyes the same ones that made her fall in love with him

“That’s never a good sign.” He joked, but turned serious when he realised she wasn’t laughing, her heart sank at the knowledge of what she was about to do

“Look I’m just going to say it. I’m leaving you” He nodded, not causing a scene like she expected him to

“Well when you go, don’t ever think I’ll make you try to stay” He stood up “But after all this time you’re still a good for nothing, I don’t know” With that he left the room.

Tasmin stared at the doorway for a few moments before finding the strength to get out of her seat and collect her remaining belongings. Her heart was breaking at what she had just done but she knew she had to get out while she still could, she couldn’t live a lie she just wished she could have spoke more truth to him and given him her reason for leaving instead of being to scared to utter the words.

She grabbed her bags from the place she’d left them under the stairs and dragged them to the door not knowing Gerard heard her rustling about from where he was laid on their … His bed, silence fell upon the house he knew she was probably about to leave and as he heard the door open he jumped up and ran to the top of the stairs.

She was just about to grab her gloves when he appeared stopping her right in her tracks it was when they made eye contact, his hazel green against her blue, that he spoke

“When after all this time wasted on us you don’t even have the gut’s to say. I don’t love you, like I loved you yesterday” He pointed at the gloves she was about to get “So take your gloves and get out, get out while you still can”

She let a few tears fall not going unnoticed by him, but he still turned around and walked back towards his bedroom but not before turning to Tasmin one final time and speaking the heartbreaking words he two had not had the gut’s to say,

“I don’t love you, like I loved you yesterday”
