Even Without Words

Vic 33

As much as I knew I shouldn’t be the one breaking down right now, I was. Kellin was being perfect and just holding me while I pretty much freaked out. I mean, I didn’t really feel anything when I found him. Beau and I were just focused on getting Eric away from him and making sure he was okay. I hadn’t really had my breakdown yet.

“Vic, I’ll be fine,” Kellin told me. “You came to my rescue and you’re the reason I’ll be okay. That will never happen again alright?”

“Yeah, I’m sorry,” I apologized and wiped my eyes. “I shouldn’t be the one crying.”

“You can cry all you want Vic,” He told me. “You’ve been like a machine lately, doing everything for me. Now let me help you.”

“Oh my god Kells, you’re perfect,” I told him and kissed him. “And I love you.”

“I love you too Vicky,” he said and I groaned.

“If anyone were to call me that but you, I’d hit them,” I replied. “You’re lucky you make it cute.”

“I’m not the cute one here,” He said and kissed me playfully.

“Why don’t we go to bed? A little rest won’t hurt you and I want you to get better,” I told Kellin and he nodded. “Do you need me to carry you?”

“No but I’d like you to,” He grinned as I picked him up bridal style and let him crawl under the covers while I stripped down to my boxers and put on some pajama pants before joining him. Kellin cuddled up to my chest. I let my fingers trace patterns lightly over the pale skin that was exposed from his shirt riding up and my touch was met with goose bumps. Kellin shivered and snuggled closer to me as I pulled the covers up over his shoulders. We laid there for a while until Kellin started fidgeting.

“God, it’s too warm in here,” He said and took off his shirt, which was really mine but it was hot that he wore my clothes. He threw it onto the dirty pile that I’d have to wash tomorrow and laid back down.

“That’s a first for you,” I commented with a smirk.

“Well what am I supposed to do? It’s hot in here you freaking Mexican,” He taunted and I laughed.

“Either way, I’m not complaining,” I said and we finally settled down enough to go to sleep.

“If there was a word for being more than in love, that’s how much I love you,” Kellin mumbled.

“And I love you even more than that,” I told him before falling asleep.

The rest of the week, Kellin and I just cuddled and didn’t do much more than innocent kisses and sleeping shirtless. He’d recovered fully yesterday and today we were going to go out before we have to go back to school on Monday. Meaning we had today and Sunday. Kellin came out in one of my shirts and some skinny jeans with his hair perfectly straight. I smiled and took his hand.

“Ready to go gorgeous?” I asked him.

“Yup,” He said and we walked out to the car. Once again, I didn’t tell him where we were going and ended up at Disneyland.

“Oh. My. God.” Kellin gasped. “Vic, this is…”

“Chill, it was my parent’s Christmas present to YOU,” I told him, which was true. “Just enjoy it.”

“You’re parents are the best,” He looked like he was in awe.

We got into the park fine and Kellin was trying to decide what to do. I kind of figured he was scared of the big roller coasters so we did some smaller rides first.

“Oh my god that was horrible,” Kellin breathed and clutched onto my hand. We’d just gotten off the g-force thing. It spins really fast and you’re not strapped in. Yeah, that thing. “Never again!”

“Okay,” I laughed a little. “I won’t make you go on it again.” I flung an arm around his shoulders as we got to the biggest roller coasters. Kellin didn’t seem to scared when we were at the back of the line but the closer we got to actually being on it, the more he seemed to get scared.

“Calm down Kells, it’s totally safe,” I tried to calm him and he just nodded wordlessly.

I sighed and we finally sat in the seats and strapped ourselves in. I took Kellin’s hand and squeezed it a little to let him know it would be fine. He screamed the whole time and I laughed a little. This was only going to get more interesting.

I was right, the day only DID get more interesting. I had to somehow convinced Kellin to go into the haunted house with me and we ate pizza for dinner. After dinner, we did a couple more rides again before Kellin was starting to get tired.

“Come on, let’s go back and watch a movie or something,” I suggested and Kellin nodded. I ended up giving him a piggy back ride to the car.

“If we keep this up, you’re going to run out of movies for us to watch,” Kellin mumbled into my neck and I just laughed.

“Oh Kells, have you not seen the whole drawer?” I asked and he shook his head. I set him down outside the car so I could unlock it and let him in. It had started getting cooler and he was wearing my sweater. Kellin practically fell asleep on the drive home as I sang along with the radio. I carried him back into the house and he managed to make it to the basement by himself as I went to grab a blanket from the closet to keep us warm. When I came downstairs, he was elbow deep in one of two of our movie drawers with his mouth hanging open. I laughed as we picked one and cuddled up on the couch.
