Companion
I wanted to be a companion when I watched Doctor Who. I watched the classics and I envied the bright eyed allies of the Doctor. I wish I had a companion.
I had a dog once, but he died in the fire. I sigh. I don’t want to think about that.
I pull open my curtains. It’s a new day. I have a new life, a new apartment and a new mortgage. Least I got out of the bloody foster home.
My phone rings.
“Jack, you’ve got a date!”
Yes, I want a companion...
But I don’t like new people.

About the tying everything together thing... I think I've gone overboard. Oh, well. It doesn't matter. Tomorrow's one will be completely random so it's a challenge! Hopefully. I haven't checked tomorrow's word yet.
