Keep Digging Holes in The Desert

Today I was going to my therapist.
Her name was Mary and she was in we forties.
I walke into her office revealing a lady with long blonde hair up in a bun.
She stood and smile shaking my hand.

"Hello, Valerie. Take a seat, please."

I took a seat on the couch an she got her clipboard out.

"So how are you feeling after your little accident?"
"Good. Well because of Vic I'm doing great."
"Who is Vic?"
"My boyfriend."
"And he loves you?"
"Yes?"

What kind of question is that?

"Why did you attempt suicide?"
"Well, Vic and I got into a fight. He rejected me and I guess I just didnt see a reason to live."
"Coming from someone who loves you right?"
"Excuse me?"

She stopped writing and looked at me.

"I'm sorry it's just I don't see someone who loves you as the same person you tried killing yourself over."
"If it weren't for him I wouldn't be here! If he hasn't found me and rushed me to the hospital I wouldn't be here!"
"Valerie you wouldn't be here talkin to a therapist in the first place if you hadn't attempted suicide."

That was it.
I stood up abruptly.

"I'm done. Goodbye."
"See you tomorrow, Val."
"Yeah right."

I stormed out.
I dare she talk about Vic like she knows the situation!
She doesn't know anything!
Once I got home I rushed in slamming the door.

"Babe?" Vic called after me.

I ignore him and went straight to our room.
I crashed onto the bed and immediately started crying.

"Valerie?!" He was panicking.

Vic came over and for in bed with me cradling me.

"Baby, what happened?"
"She blamed you for my attempted suicide! Said that you didn't love me. What kind of fucking therapist does that?!"
"She what?!"

He stood up and I looked at him.

"I'm calling for a new therapist. That's ridiculous she can't so that."

I sniffled.
He looked at me and crawle back into bed and kissed my cheek.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry she did that. I love you more than anything baby you know that."
"I know. I love you too."

He pressed his lips to mine.
Fucking bitch thought she could put such lies into my head.
