Falling for You Was Out of My Control

He's Going To Be Ok

Jessie's POV
“Jessie,” Evgeni knelt down in front of me as I sat in the chair next to Andrei's bed staring at our little guy still sound asleep.
“Yeah?” I questioned without taking my eyes away from him.
“Lets get coffee,” he squeezed my knee trying to get my attention.
“No I am fine.”
“Come on,” he stood up grabbing my hand tightly, “need air.”
“But what if...”
“Nurse is here, come.”

He didn't really give me any other choice but to go with him.
“Breathe,” he told me as we stepped out into the court yard in the middle of the hospital.
“I thought you said we were getting coffee?” I questioned.
“Just breathe,” he slipped his arm around my back and pulled me into his side, “air good for you.”

He was right though, it was nice to feel a little more human again. I hadn't left Andrei's side from the moment we were allowed to see him and being away like this was making me nervous.

“Can we go back in yet?” I looked up at him impatiently.
“Need coffee first,” he dropped a kiss to my forehead before muttering a quiet, “patient.”

I let him lead me down the halls to the cafe before quickly shoving a coffee in my hands.
“Now can we go back?”
“Yes,” he rolled his eyes but led the way.

When we got back his nurse was by his side and I was almost certain I heard a little whimper.
I broke from Evgeni's grasp and rushed to his side to see Andrei with a fresh set of tears on his cheek.

“He is fine, just a little scared,” she put a reassuring hand on my back, “I will give you some time.”

I sat down in the chair and moved closer to the bed, letting my hand run over Andrei's head. My fingers trailed down the side of his face and over the tubes that went into his nose where I let my thumb slide over his cheek.

He looked back at me with his big brown eyes, his bottle lip quivering as if he threatened to let out more tears.
“Shhh sweetie,” I lent down and kissed his forehead, “shhh, mummy is here.”
I wanted nothing more than to hold him, let him lay in my arms until my breathing lulled him to sleep. That was all I wanted right now.

Evgeni lent down and kissed his forehead too mumbling something to him in Russia that seemed to help relax him a little.

I let my hand run down his arm careful of all the needles and probes on his skin before finally reaching his tiny hands.
I played with his fingers, letting my finger draw circles on his palm.

“Your such a brave boy, I love you sweetie,” I rested my head on the bed next to him and continued to hold his hand. As his fingers tightened around mine I could feel myself beginning to let the worry wash away. He was going to be fine, he was the most amazing thing that ever happened to us.

I love the idea of them having another kid which I can always have as a sequel one shot or something. How would you guys like to see this end then? I don't want to drag it out but I don't want it to just end. This story is like my very own baby, being going for so long and I just love it too much.
