Winters

15TH JAN. 2008.

"I had a dog when I was little. Guess what I called it?"

< Subject pauses. >

"Jack!"

< Subject laughs. >

"Jack and Jill! Jack and Jill! Daddy found it so funny, he...oh, so funny."

< Subject leans forward. >

< Stares intently. >

"He 'lost' little Jack on one of his walks. He found £100, though; so I guess it's okay. Made up for it. Money. Money for his alcohol."

< 20 second interval. >

"I saw Jack, a few years later. He got big. Some old man was pulling him along on a leash; Jack was whining. He always hated collars."

< Subject smiles. >

"The old man's name was Mr Fawnt. If anyone is really watching these videos, like Lisa said they were, you'll find his body buried next to the 2nd runway in Heathrow airport."

< Subject rocks back on his chair. >

"He made the strangest face, you know. When I had my hands around his neck. Said something about God."

"Playing God, I think."
