Prologue
Savael had always loved stars.
In each one, his Father portrayed a thing of immense beauty. How foolish of the humans to think Heaven would be so wonderful when the most awe-striking sight lay before them each night.
"Savael, what are you doing?" the angel looked up to see his brother and mentor, Debril.
"I'm looking at the stars," he replied, calmly, gazing up at the twinkling lights.
"Why?" Debril asked, confused.
"Because they're beautiful," Savael answered, "They make me happy."
"Happiness is a human emotion, Savael," Debril reminded, sternly, "Do not be fooled into thinking you know how it feels."
"Of course," Savael understood, "Thank you, Debril."
"Come, Savael," Debril offered his hand to the young angel, "A fledgling such as yourself should not be here, alone. It would be far to easy for temptation to befall you."
