I don't have many memories of my father except the few times he came to visit only to get money from my mother. And was drunk. I haven't seen him since I was ten. I think he's in jail. But I honestly don't care. Just like he doesn't.
Well my mum is finally getting remarried (not that she was married to my father in the first place). I'm happy for her, she deserves to have a good man to take care of her for the rest of her life, and I think Tom is the one for her. Mum never really dated when I was little, for my sake I think, but I'm seventeen and I'm going into my senior year of high school after summer break. It's perfect time for mum to get a man in her life.
The only thing I'm not thrilled about it moving, four states... From Arkansas to Florida. I mean, I've always wanted to go to Florida, but I'm leave all of my friends hundreds of miles away, and I'm not too good at making friends. I won't know anyone.
Except Joey. Toms son, who hasn't been home in four years because he's been at boarding school for god knows what. So really he'll be kind of new there too. Well we'll see what happens.
