Chapter 5: Where Have You Been?!
(3:00 PM)
" UGH!? Still no answer! I've called this bitch like 20 times?!" I grumble as I pace.
Just then, Rachel walks in the door. I run up and slap her in the face, then I hug her.
"What the hell?! You didn't answer your phone I was super fucking worried!" I screamed, as I squeeze her in a deadly bear hug. I let go to see her staring into space, as if she saw a mesmerizing star. I don't think she knows I even hit her.
"What the hell is wrong with you, you seem love struck?...oh girl....did you find a great man to hook up with? Who is it, I want all the details!!" I screeched, excited for her finally find a decent guy.
"He's...wonderful....he took care of me when nobody else did...he saved my life...Aaron tried to rape me....and you just left me back there.....to fucking die!" She slapped me back, hard. I scream from the slap but then hug her and rock her.
"I'm so sorry, Rachel I didn't think he would actually do that..." i said, almost in a whisper. Tears were forming in her eyes. I decided to change the subject.
I had to know who this mystery guy was.
"So...do you want to tell me this mystery guy is?" I say. She looks me dead in the eyes, then rubs her face. I think she has just realized I hit her.
"Ow..." She grumbled. A little pissed. "Ok, you really wanna know?" She grinned.
I nod in excitement, as we both jump on our couch.
She looks at me, sighs, and says, "Danny."
I look in shock and awe, like I have just been hit with a brick.
"FINALLY!" I screech like a banshee. "I have been trying to get you two to hook up, forever! He has been head over heels with you since you got the job there. I wasn't suppose to tell you, but you clearly know now!" She's silent.
"So....how was he?" I ask, trying to break her strange silence.
"We didn't...do it." She says. "There's no way! You had to have!" I say, almost in a yell.
"Nope, he was going to but I told him I wasn't ready, and he said, "I understand, I really do love you, but we aren't dating. So, it'd just be awkward. Do you just want to wait a while?" And I said thanks."
"Wait...he said he loved you....OH SHIT?!" I screamed, super happy for her.
"Yeah, I kissed him and said I loved him, too. I really do." She grumbled in a happy tone.
"We'll, I'm happy for you, two, you guys are takin' it slow. That's great." I said then gave her a tight best friend hug. During the hug, her phone went off. She grabbed it, looked at it, and made a stupid Cheshire Cat grin.
"I gotta go, I'll see you later, Ash!"
She sprinted out of the house. I looked through my window to see her run right towards Danny as he was getting out of his car. He has a sexy car. I mean, Dayum!
He pick her up and he spun her around. I just gave him a half grin. He smiled back and they got in his car and drove off.
