“And now you hometown heroes, THE WASHINGTOONNNNN CAPITAAAAALLSSSSSSSS!!!”
The guys skated onto the ice. It was the first game of the season, and number nineteen had a little extra spring in his skate.
“Before we begin our game we would like to congratulate Nicklas Backstrom and his wife, Palmer, on the birth of their first child. Blaine Anders Backstrom was born this morning at ten A.M. CONGRATULATIONS NICK!” said the announcer. The jumbotron showed a picture of the newborn baby.
The whole team patted Nick on the back and he smiled and played the best game of his life
