Best Places to Be a Mom

The next day i was pretty busy, i had a video shoot to do and a photo shoot. Later on Jack came home and stayed up until Melody came home. At around 6 when i was tuning my guitar there was a knock on the door, Melody answered it and it was my her cousin and her cousins husband and the baby.

"Hey Jessi, hey Matt" Melody said letting them come in

"Hey!. Thanks for babysitting" Jessi said

"Of course!. I mean we need all the practice we can get" Melody said

"Mhm" Jessi said

"Here let me take her" Melody said taking Ella from Jessi

"She already ate and i changed her, if she gets fussy for no reason you can just press the button on this bears chest and it will sing for her" Jessi said setting the diaper bag down and showed her the bear

"Sounds good" Melody said

"Alright were gonna get going, thanks again" Jessi said

"No problem" Melody said

"Okay, see you later" Jessi said and they left

"Alright. Now what?" i asked as she rocked Ella in her arms

"I dont know" Melody said

Ella was a really good baby, up until i did somthing to piss her off. Melody played peekaboo and she stopped crying. Everytime i tryed to hold the baby she freaked the fuck out, i had a feeling the kid hated me. While i was rocking Ella for Melody while she was in the bathroom the door opened and Rian walked in. He saw the baby in my arms and gave me a confused look.

"Is this Ella?" he asked

"Yes" i said

"Why the hell is she crying. What did you do to the poor kid!?" he said

"Nothing!, she fucking hates me!" i said

"Is she wet?" he asked

"Nope" i said

"Hmm..she probably does just hate you" he said

"Fuck you" i said

"Hey!. The baby can hear you!" Melody said walking in

"She cant even speak yet, i think were safe" i said

"Hey Rian, what brings you here" she said

"Just came to see what was happening with the baby" Rian said

"Well. Alex is pissing her off" Melody said taking the baby from me

"No im not!" i said

"Babe, your tense. She knows your nervous and it makes her nervous" she said

"Mhm" i said

"Here lets see if this works" she said pressing the bear and it didnt work

"Shit, thats not good" i said

"Batteries must have died. Sing to her" she said

"What?" i said

"Come on!, im sure it'll work" she said

"Fine" i said

I started singing Somewhere in Neverland to her and she calmed down, her calming down made me relax so much more. After she calmed down she fell asleep so i put her in her carseat so she could nap. Rian and Melody started to quietly clap.

"Congrats babe, you successfully calmed down your first baby!" Melody said

"Thanks" i said

"Im gonna go start dinner, you two keep it quiet so she can sleep" she said leaving the room

"Your officially the baby whisperer" Rian said

"No im not" i said

"Well ive tried singing to Breanns niece before and so has she. Never been successful" he said

"Well thats because you two suck at singing" i said

"That may be true" he said

"Exactly" i said and he flipped me off

After a hour of relaxing quietness Ella started to cry again. I fed her and changed her and she still cried, i started to get really nervous. I tried singing to her but she just wasnt having it which was making me even more nervous.

"Alex relax" Rian said

"I fucking cant!. Shes crying and nothings working!" i said freaking out

"Well babies do that sometimes. They just need to cry it out, its nothing to be worried about" he said

"Since when did you become a expert on babies?" i snapped pacing the room

"Since my girlfriend has nieces" he said

"Hes right, babies just get like this sometimes" Melody said

"Well if our child is like this i will have weekly panic attacks" i said

"Want me to take her?" she asked

"No" i said and she raised her eyebrow at me and shook her head

"Whatever, but i think it would be better if i tried or Rian" she said

"Im good, i gotta get used to this" i said and she nodded

"True" she said

"Shhh Ella, its okay baby girl. Shhhhh relax its gonna be-" i started trying to sooth her but i got cut off as she spit up all over me

"Ewww!" Rian said

"Well atleast shes happy!" Melody said

"Yeah" i said

"I'll clean her up and you go change" Rian said taking the baby

"I dont need to" i said taking my shirt off

"Look dude theres a baby here. This is not time for a strip tease" Rian said jokingly

"Fuck off" i laughed

"I'll take her" Melody said taking her from his arms

The rest of the night went really well, it took us a while to get a hang of things but we eventually did. Rian left at about 9 and then soon after Jessi and Matt picked up Ella. Later that night i made tea before heading to bed.

"Well dont you look all serious" i said, Melody had her reading glasses on and she was reading somthing on her Mac

"Im working on a article and looking up baby names" she said as i got into bed next to her

"Any pretty names?" i asked

"A few. My top three are Leighton, Lila and Natalia" she said

"Those are cute" i said

"Mhm. What'd you make?" she asked

"Tea" i said

"Ick" she said

"Its yummy" i said

"Fuck no" she said

"Suit yourself" i said and she rolled her eyes at me
