Best Places to Be a Mom

Melodys POV:
We called our parents about me being pregnant and they were all happy, which is a huge relief because we were nervous they'd be mad. My mom gave me her friends number that is a doctor for my to see so i called and made a appointment. I went to my appointment the next morning and after i went straight to work and my friend April gave me a weird look.

"Your late" she said as i sat down at my desk next to hers, i write for a magazine

"I know. I had a doctors appointment" i said

"Oh. Are you okay?" she asked

"Fine" i said

"Well whats wrong?" she asked

"Im pregnant" i said

"Really?!" she asked

"Yeah, about ten weeks" i said

"Holy shit. Well congrats to you and Alex, thats awesome" she said

"Thanks" i said

"Are you two excited?" she asked

"Yeah were really excited" i said

"Thats amazing!" she said

The whole day was pretty boring, nothing exciting happened. I ended up staying a little late to finish the article i was working on which i ended up taking home. When i finally got home alls i wanted to do was relax, Alex and Jack had other plans since they were busy cleaning out our spare room.

"Hey guys" i said

"Melody!" Jack said

"Hey babe" Alex said

"So, what the fuck are you two up to?" i asked

"Cleaning out what is soon to be our babys room" he said

"Alex we have plenty of time for that, im not even three months yet" i said

"I know but if i dont do it now i'll get lazy and it'll end up being done last minute" he said, he had a point there

"Well i'd offer my help but i dont think i can help much. Cant lift anything, so im just gonna go change and watch tv" i said

"No!. You can help with one thing" he said

"What?" i asked

"Figure out what we can do with all this shit" he said

"Cant we just put it all in the basement?" i asked

"No!. Have you seen horders?, i refuse to let the house get like that. I have claustrophobia" he said

"Its the basement. The house wont get like that" i said

"Still, i think some of this shit can go" he said

"Do you wanna get rid of this box of cds?" i asked him opening a cardboard box

"Fuck no" he said and i sat on the floor

"Alex, im pregnant and i was working all fucking day. Can i not do this now?" i whined

"Shit shes playing the pregnant card" Jack said

"What the fuck are you talking about?. Im not using my pregnancy as a excuse!. Im fucking pregnant and i need to take it easy, stress can be bad for the baby" i said rubbing my stomach

"You have a point babe. Go relax" Alex said helping me to my feet

"Thanks" i said smacking his ass and he grabbed my hand and kissed me

"Eww!. Save that shit for the bedroom" Jack said

"I'll see you two later" i said and went to our room

I changed into comfy clothes and laid out on our bed and watched tv, me and Alex have the most comfortable bed ever created. I ended up falling asleep half way through the show i was watching. A little while later i was being shooken awake.

"Melody!" Jack said

"Fuck off" i said

"Alex said to get up, we made dinner. He also wants you to check out the future babys room after you eat" he said

"Its cleaned out?" i asked opening my eyes

"Yep" he said smiling down at me

"I have work to finish" i said

"Well come eat before that, its more important" he said putting out his hand i stared at him weird before he encouraged me and i took it and he helped me up and we went out to the dinning room where Alex was setting the table

"Hey babe" Alex said

"Hi" i said

"Did you have a good nap?" he asked

"Yeah" i said

"Good. I made your favorite" he said

"Onion rings with the dipping sauce that goes with blooming onions!?" i said

"Yes!" he said

"Awesome, ive been craving that for a while" i said

"Well at least you crave normal food" he said

"Yeah. At least you dont wanna eat bars of soap" Jack said and i flipped him off

"Fuck you Barakat" i said

"Eat babe, you need it and the baby needs it" Alex said

"Fine" i said sitting at the table

We had dinner and it was so good, i dont know why but Alexs dishes are always so yummy. After dinner Alex had Jack cover my eyes and guide me to the babys room. We walked in and he finally let go of me, the room looked awesome without all our crap in it.

"So, what do you think!?" Alex said standing in the middle of the room

"Its great" i said

"Really?" he asked

"Yeah, i can definitely picture it as a babys room now that it doesnt have all the clutter" i said

"Awesome!" he said

"Yeah. The room needs a new color though" i said, our walls in here were cream. I despise any plain colors. All our rooms in our house have happy bright colors, our bedroom is a purple

"Yeah i know. I was think you pick the color" he said

"Really?" i said

"Yeah, you always come up with really nice colors" he said

"Aww thanks, im thinking turquoise with white trim if its a girl and that dark brown color if its a boy" i said

"Hmm...never thought about that. That actually sounds really nice" he said

"Yep" i said

"The crib can go here, then the changing table can go here. And anything else we'll just figure it out" he said showing me where he thinks stuff should go

"Mhmm" i said

"Are you guys gonna wanna no the sex of the baby?" Jack asked

"I do" i said and Alex nodded

"Yeah. Gives us more time to come up withe the perfect name, plus we gotta know what the trim will be in here" he said

"Yeah" i said

"By the way. My mom said she wants to buy us our crib" he said

"Really?" i asked

"Yep, i tried to turn her down but she insists" he said

"Aww thats nice of her" i said

"Mhmm" he said

"Well this was nice, but ive got work" i said walking out of the room

I laid on our bed and opened my mac, i needed to finish my article. I was doing a article on interior designing, its somthing im really interested in and have been told i come up with real nice ideas. A little while later while i was trying to finish it up Alex walked in our room.

"Your still working?" he said changing into sweat pants and taking off his shirt

"Yep. Its a huge article" i said

"Nice. Dont over work yourself babe" he said

"Im not" i said and he flipped our light off and got into bed with me

"No more" he said trying to shut my mac

"Hold on!. Im honestly like almost done, then i gotta submit it to my boss. Then im done" i said

"Do you think you'll work the entire pregnancy?" he asked

"Maybe. Im gonna work for as long as i can" i said

"Thats not something the father of the baby wants to hear" he said

"I love my job, and as long as i can work im gonna" i said

"Nice. So, hows your morning sickness?" he asked

"Fine. My back has been hurting" i said

"Ahhh. And so it begins, the pain and soreness. Soon you'll be exhausted" he said

"Well you dont hold back, huh?" i laughed and so did he

"Sorry" he said and i finished the last sentence of the article and sent it to my boss and shut my mac down

"Done" i said

"Good!. How about a nice back rub?" he asked taking my mac and putting it on his nightstand and then he pulled me in for a hug

"That sounds awesome" i said and he sat up

"Get between my legs and rest your head on this pillow" he said and i sat between his legs and let him give me a massage

"That feels fucking amazing" i said

"Good. I love you" he said

"Mmm. Thanks" i said and he laughed
