Best Places to Be a Mom

Melodys POV:
Today i took a day off of work, Alex wanted to set up the nursery and i wanted to be involved. Right now i was cutting open boxes that held the crib and changing table. While i was trying to cut open a box Alex, Jack and Amy walked in, Alex freaked out and kneeled next to me.

"Fuck!. Melody, be careful with that knife!" he said taking it out of my hand

"Well if they didnt pack these things in crazy stuff i wouldnt have to struggle!" i said annoyed

"Still. Be careful, i dont want you cutting yourself or cutting off a finger" he said

"Whatever" i said sitting back

"Hormonal today?" he laughed

"No!. Fucker. That thing is so hard!" i said

"Thats what she said" he laughed

"Dont be disgusting" i said smacking his arm

"Sorry" he said

"Alex!. Im here" Zack yelled

"Nursery" Alex yelled back as he managed to get the plastic thing off the box

"Hey. I got your paint" Zack said walking in with two cans of paint

"Thanks so much dude!" Alex said

"I wanna see it!. Im obsessed with the color!" i said

"Later we gotta get this shit together" he said handing me the knife and he started taping the windows and doors

I convinced Zack to cut the rest of the boxes open for me, the fucking knife was to hard for me to use and i was ready to throw it at the wall. After all the boxes were open we all started working on the furniture and putting it together. Jack was starting to get really annoyed with the instructions.

"Shit doesnt make any sense at all!" Jack said

"Yes it does" Alex said

"Nope. Im gonna have to use my glasses, fucking hate them but im like blind today" Jack said taking his glasses out of his pocket and he put them on

"Lovely glasses" i laughed

"Oh come on!. I know i look weird" he said

"No seriously, you look good in glasses" i said

"Thanks" he said

"Thanks for flirting with my best friend right in front of me!" Alex said jokingly

"Whatever" i said and Zack took the instructions

"Jack connect that piece to this piece" Zack said tossing Jack some stuff

"Who said you were in control?" Jack asked

"Me. Your being slow as fuck. Your not dyslexic Jack and you've been reading for a long time, get your shit together" Zack said

"Someone is being a little bitch" Jack said teasing Zack

"No I'm not!, your just being a idiot" Zack said

"Shut the hell up guys, lets just get this shit together" Alex said

"Wheres Rian, did he not wanna partake in this?" i asked

"He was busy. Hes not missing out though, Jack and Zack are just arguing like a old married couple" he said

"Hes being a dick" Jack said

"Lets just get to work" Alex sighed

Me and Amy worked on the changing table, i didnt not wanna be involved in all the bickering that was happening over the crib. Me and Amy had no problem at all getting it together, i dont know if its because we were cooperative or if there was less parts. After we all finally finished everything we took a look at our work.

"Looks amazing!" i said high fiving Amy

"You two did good" Jack said

"Probably because they wernt bitching to each other" Alex said and Zack shrugged

"Yeah well im just super good at putting shit together i guess" i said

"Yes you are" he said putting his arm around me

"Mhm, we get it Amy and Melody are like Ty Pennington. Can we get to the painting?" Jack asked

"Yeah. Stir the paint for me" Alex said

"Mkay. Well this is where i exit" i said

"Your not helping?" he asked

"No. The fumes will make me fucking sick" i said

"Will you help?" he asked Amy

"Sure" Amy said

"Cool" he said

"I'll see you lovely people later. Keep the paint just on the damn walls please, dont fuck everything up" i said

"We'll be fine. Go relax or nap or whatever" he said and i left the room

I went out to the livingroom and laid on the couch, i was fucking exhausted lately. I could hear Zack and Jack arguing and i was so glad that i wasnt in the room anymore. After about a hour or more Zack came into the living room shirtless, i was so confused.

"Uh...hi" i said

"Hey!" he said

"Why are you shirtless?" i asked sitting up

"Because Jack got paint all down my back" he said

"Oh" i said

"Yep. The room is finished. I mean the furniture needs to be put in the appropriate areas but the paint needs to dry first" he said

"Alright" i said and he helped me up and we walked to the nursery and the walls were all painted

"What do you think!?" Alex asked, he was also shirtless. So was Jack

"It looks amazing" i said

"Glad you think so" he said

"Okay what the hell?. Your all shirtless?" i asked

"Jack got paint on us, then i ran my roller across him" he said

"I see" i said

"I think this paint is amazing!" Amy said

"Me to!, i really really am in love with it!" i said

"Yeah me to" she said

"I like it. I wasnt sure if the blue was feminine enough but its nice" Alex said putting his arm around me

"Yeah its really nice!" i said

Later that night when my aunt Lee came home from work us three girls went out to dinner. It was really nice to just hangout with my cousin and aunt, i never get to spend time with just them when i see them. After our dinner we went home and Alex jumped off the couch excited.

"Babe!, the nursery is finished. Follow me!" he said

"Alright!" i said and me, Amy and my aunt Lee followed Alex

"Alright im covering your eyes" Alex said putting and hand over my eyes and he walked me into the room

"Its so cute Alex" my aunt Lee said

"Yeah it really is!" Amy said

"I wanna see!" i said excited

"Fine" he said and uncovered my face and i looked around. It was a really nice, the furniture was put in nice spots and everything looked perfect. Even though the color isnt really feminine the white trim made it look feminine

"Holy shit!. I love it" i said

"Good!" he said

"You did amazing putting things in the right areas babe" i said

"Thank you" he said

"Well we will leave you two alone" my aunt Lee said and her and Amy left

"Lex, this is where our little girl will sleep" i said and he put his arm around my shoulder

"Yeah i know" he said

"Im so excited now. It just feels so much more real now!" i said

"I cant wait to see her" he said

"Mhmm" i said

"I love you so much baby" he said kissing me

"I love you to" i said kissing him back
