Best Places to Be a Mom

I woke up the next morning dripping with sweat, it was as hot as a steam filled shower. I checked my phones weather app and it said it was 88 degrees outside. I whined and texted Jack and told him to come over for a swim and then i texted Zack and Rian and told them the same. Later on when they all came over we went int the pool, it felt so amazing. I latched myself onto Zack and put my head on his shoulder.

"God this pool feels amazing" i said

"Yeah" he said

"I woke up this morning and it was so damn hot" Jack said

"Me to!. Its weird because lately its been kinda cold, then this morning it was like a fucking sauna" i said

"Yeah. Fucking weather is so damn fucked, its always changing" he said and i nodded and Rian laughed at us

"So Alex, i was talking to Leann earlier and she has this amazing plan" Rian said, Leann was his girlfriend who hes lived with for a little over a year

"What?" i asked

"Her sister is in town visiting and she wants to take Melody out for a girls night. She also suggested that while they do that we have a guys night" he said

"Sweet, im in. When does she wanna do this?" i asked

"Tonight?" he asked

"Sure, whats this guys night gonna consist of?. Alcohol i hope" i said

"There will be alcohol. Thinking about going to a local show tonight, its not late or anything so you can get back to your Melody early. Sound fun?" he asked

"Definitely" i said

"Good" he said

After we were done swimming i texted Melody about the plans, she was really excited. That night Rian picked me up and we went to meet Zack and Jack at the show. Later while i was watching the concert i felt someone grab my shoulder, i turned around and it was Melodys brother Eli.

"Hey" i said, me and Eli have always had a weird relationship. We didnt hate eachother but we didnt exactly get along

"Hey!. Didnt expect to see you here" he said

"Yeah, im just here with my bandmates" i said pointing over to Rian, Jack and Zack. Jack was feeding Rian his drink

"Nice. Congrats on the baby by the way, Mel told me shes so excited" he said

"Thanks, i am to. What are you doing here?" i asked

"My girlfriends brother is the drummer of one of the bands here tonight" he said

"Oh awesome" i said and he nodded

"Mhm. So wheres my little sister?" he asked

"Out with some girls, their having a girls night and were having a guys night" i said

"Cool, well have fun. Dont get to crazy. I dont wanna hear from Mel that you came home wasted" he said

"I won't" i said

"Good. See you later" he said leaving me and going back to his girlfriend

The concert was going really well, the bands were actually really good. Jack tried to get me really drunk but i refused since i wasnt in the mood to have to be hungover. Two hours into the show Jack went to get a drink, a few minutes later i looked over and saw him trying to hug Elis girlfriend who looked pissed. I handed Zack my drink and went to get Jack. I could see the Eli was getting ready to fight Jack and i knew i came at a perfect time.

"What the fucks going on?" i asked

"Alex, hey. Your just in time to help me kick this douches ass. Hes feeling up Marie" he said

"No. I actually came over because this is my friend and i needed to save his ass from getting into deep shit" i said

"Hes with you!?" he said

"Mhm" i said

"So this is who my niece and or nephew will be around?" he asked

"Hes usually not like this, he usually only gets handsy with me or one of our other bandmates" i said

"Whatever. Take him back, im trying my hardest not to kill him" he said

"Sorry you guys. Come on Jack" i said tugging on my arm

"Alex. Shes pretty" Jack said

"I know, but this is Elis girlfriend" i said

"You know him!?" he said

"Yes. You do to. Melodys brother?, ring a bell?" i asked

"Right...shes still cute though" he said trying to pull away from me

"Jack" i sighed annoyed

"Your pretty" he said hugging her again

"Thank you but please. Get the fuck off me" she said pushing him back

"Come on you fucking idiot" i said grabbing him and handing his drink to Eli

"Alex!" Jack gasped as i dragged him back to Zack and Rian

The rest of the night was fun, besides the whole babysitting Jack thing. After the show was over me and Rian went to get some coffee before he brought me home. I got home and was exhausted, i walked into the house and tossed my phone at the couch.

"Babe?" i yelled starting to strip my clothes, i was tired. I just was ready for bed

"Kitchen" she called back

"Oh god, you'll never guess what happened tonight. Jack was so-...oh, hey" i said taking my pants off as i walked to the kitchen and once i was in there i cut myself off as i saw Melody, Eli and Marie

"Lex!" she said

"Shit" i said embarrassed, i was basically naked

"Why the hell are you in your underwear!?" she said

"Well shit!, i mean it is like 10. I didnt expect there to be people here at this hour" i said

"Put this on" she said tossing me my shorts that were on the chair drying from when i went swimming

"Im really sorry. I never wanted you to see me like this" i said laughed as i pulled on my shorts

"Its okay" Eli said

"They came over to tell me how Jack got wasted and felt up Marie" she said

"Yeah. Hes a really cuddly type of drunk" i said

"Mhm" Eli said

"Thats our future uncle of our child, drunk and just in general a weirdo" she said and i laughed

"I cant believe your gonna let your child grow up around that" he said

"Excuse me?. Around what?" i asked

"Whatever the hell your friend is" he said

"Eli come on" Melody sighed

"Whats wrong with my friend?" i said

"Hes a perv" he said

"When hes drunk" i said

"Melodys told me stories about this kid. Jack right?. Fucking creep if you ask me" he said

"Thats my best fucking friend, hes crazy and he doesn't do relationships, and he likes to drink. I dont care if you hate him but please keep shit to yourself around me" i said

"You need new friends" he said

"Im pretty much like him. Hate me as well?" i asked

"Forget it. I'll see you tomorrow" he said kissing Melody on the cheek and he left with Marie

"This is unbelievable" Melody sighed annoyed

"How was your night?" i asked

"It was great, i guess yours was good?" she asked

"Mhm" i said

"Good. I'm going to bed, night" she said kissing me and going to bed

"Fuck" i whined
