One Week Later...
Amanda's P.O.V
Jack had finally introduced me to his friends Rian, Zack and Alex, who were all in a band together. Zack was the shy one but everyone has promised he gets much louder when you got to know him more. Rian was the most responsible of the group and had a long term girlfriend named Kara. She's my first friend in Baltimore that is a girl and we're quickly becoming best friends. Then there's Alex. Apparently he's the womaniser of the group. He has tried to make a couple of moves on me but every time he has, Jack has sent him a deep glare telling him to back off.
As for school, I started attending Dulaney High School a couple of days ago. It's much smaller than my old school back in California so it was easy to get around and find my classes. I also had Jack by my side all day long. He's just the sweetest boy I've ever known. He holds my hand wherever we go and he's always kissing my cheek. Do you want to know what my favourite part of each day is? It's when he waits on my porch every morning and calls me beautiful. When he says it it's like I cant breathe. I blush furiously and peck his cheek. Then it's his turn to blush.
There's just one problem. I keep asking myself ''what are we?''. I mean we hold hands and everything, and the boys say he's 'whipped', but he hasn't even asked me out on a date yet. I'm getting kind of worried, maybe he's one of those guys who doesn't want to be in a committed relationship.
Jack'S P.O.V
I've finally introduced Amanda to the guys and Kara. Those two have hit it off already and I'm glad she's finally got a girl friend. I don't want her to feel suffocated by me.
She fits in perfectly with school. She already knows her way around but I stay by her side at all times because it feels like I can't stay away from her. I'm always longing to feel her hand in mine.
Things between us are going amazingly perfect. I just can't help but feel that there's something on her mind. ''Maybe she's bothered that I haven't asked her on a date yet?''. Yes that's probably it. I'm just waiting for the perfect moment to ask her. I've also been dying to kiss those lips. God! She's making me go crazy. We've come close to kissing a few times but have always been interrupted by something or someone. Usually Alex walking into the room.
3rd person P.O.V
Amanda and Jack were currently walking back home from Alex house. There was a small gathering with alcohol involved, but Amanda chose not to drink as it was a Thursday night and they had school in the morning. Jack also chose not drink due to the fact that Amanda wasn't. This made her fall for him even more and made her want to kiss him so badly.
''C'mon Mandy, lets go this way'', Jack whispered while guiding Amanda on a different route. She only ever let jack call her Mandy. The way he said it sent shivers down her spine. Knowing that jack was the only one with this privilege made his heart beat faster than usual.
They walked for a while longer until they stopped in front of a small lake. Amanda had never seen anything like it. Sure, the beach in California is amazing but this was romantic and spontaneous, just the way Amanda liked it. Jack stood behind Amanda, wrapping his warm, strong arms around the delicate girl in front of him and rested his chin on her shoulder. She leaned back into his chest and engulfed his hands with hers. None of them said a word for about 10 minutes. They just stared into the deep water. She sighed happily, thinking nothing could ruin that moment. Behind her, Jack was gathering up the nerve to ask her out on a date. He was pretty sure she would say yes but he couldn't help but feel nervous.
''Do you want to go on a date Saturday night?''
Amanda spun around in his arms and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, burying her face into the crook of his neck.
''Yes!'' she shouted in glee while Jack was now trying to think of what to do to make it a perfect date.
Amanda had never been on a date before. She told herself she needed to call Kara. The pair stood wrapped up in each other, making the most of that perfect moment.
