Hide and Seek

Beacon Hills High

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring from my phone. When I grabbed it, I immediately hit the snooze button and laid in my bed for another ten minutes before finally getting up. I had my first day at Beacon Hills High today, and I was nervous as hell.

I walked out of my room and into the bathroom for my shower. It only took me about ten minutes then I was back in my room with a towel around my body. I walked over to my dresser and turned on my iHome and plugged my phone up. P!nk began to flow through the speakers and I looked down at the still full Macy's bags.

"Man, what to wear?" I sighed, then started digging.

Stiles POV

Stiles shot up in bed at the sound of music coming from somewhere. He looked over and saw Drew standing in her room with only a towel on.

"Oh shit." He mumbled as he scrambled out of his bed and shut his window quietly. Yet he still looked at her and he had no idea why.

You perv. Staring at a girl you don't even know and she's almost naked and doesn't know you're looking.

He yanked his curtains closed when she started taking her towel off and he spun around away from the window. He shook his head and tried to bring his heart rate down.

"Holy shit...I am so in trouble."

Drew's POV

I finally picked out what I wanted and took my towel off. I put on my undergarments and looked at my window. It was wide open and the curtains were drawn back. Thank goodness Stile's curtains were closed. That would be embarrassing.

I put on my jeans and sat at my white vanity to begin my makeup and hair. I couldn't stand having a shirt on when I got ready. I felt to constricted.

When I'd finished everything, I put my shirt and shoes on and looked over my appearance. Lydia would be proud. I smiled and turned to walk out of my room. I stopped when I remembered that my window was still open. I walked back to see Stiles' curtains now open and him running around his room shirtless. I sniggered quietly and shut my window, leaving the curtains open.

I quickly grabbed my purse/back pack type thing and my phone and left the room. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a chocolate-chip cookie doe pop tart then walked out to my shiny new 2011 Honda Accord Coupe. My mom honestly thought that buying us both new cars would make us feel better. Completely untrue, but I still love the car.

I hoped in and immediately synced my phone to the car and turned up the music. I hit the small button on the garage opener and backed out as careful as possible. I looked to my left and saw Stiles walking to his Jeep and quickly rolled down the window.

"Hey, Stiles?" I called. He jumped around and looked at me, becoming flustered instantly. He nodded and ran a hand over his buzzed head before answering.

"Hey, Drew, what's up?"

"Would you mind if I followed you to school? I'm not really sure where I'm supposed to go." I giggled slightly in embarrassment and he just smiled.

"Of course! Just follow me, and try not to get lost!" He chuckled and jumped into his Jeep. Not a second later he rolled down his passenger window.

"We're gonna have to take a detour, I've gotta go pick up Scott. You mind?"

"Not at all! Just so long as I make it to school!" I smiled. He nodded quickly and rolled the window back up and backed out of the driveway. I did the same and we were on our way.

This school was, in one word, wow. It was twice the size of my old school and almost three times the amount of people. I parked beside Stiles and waited for Scott to get out so I could. When I stepped out of the car, I could feel everyone's eyes on me.

"Oh god. I've never been the new kid. I don't know how to be a new kid. Help me and don't leave me please. Or at least help me find Lydia." I rambled to Scott as Stiles came around the Jeep.

"Calm down, we'll help you find her." We began walking up to the school. I was between both boys and I could feel every eye on me. I grabbed a hold of one their arms and it so happened to be Stiles.

"Hey, don't freak out. You'll probably make friends in no time."

"Scott!" I heard a feminine voice yell out and looked to my left. I spotted a pretty brunette walking over to us with a huge smile on her face. She was gorgeous, and I felt a bit self conscious. I quickly looked over my outfit and sighed approvingly.

"Allison." I looked at Scott as he got that goofy grin on his face. That love struck look I've never been on the receiving end of. She approached us with a brilliant smile and looked me up and down, her smile never faltering.

"Who's this? New girlfriend Stiles?" She giggled. My eyebrows hit my hairline in surprise. I looked at Stiles and noticed my arm was still firmly gripping his bicep. I could feel myself blushing and I quickly let go.

"Uh, no. New neighbor. My names Drew Moraine." I smiled and stuck my hand out for her. She nodded and shook my hand right away.

"Well it's nice to meet you. My names Allison. And I'm glad you're here because I'm not the new girl anymore." She joked. I laughed with her and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm so lost. I'm from a small town and not used to so many people in one place and such a big school."

"You don't sound like you're from here. Where are you from?"

"A little place called Hope, Arkansas. Yes, I'm a country girl. I fish, I blow duck calls and I hunt," I felt Scott and Stiles stiffen beside me but I didn't really pay attention. Memories started flooding back to me and I started to see everything again. I quickly pushed them away and shook my head, "well, I used to hunt." Allison nodded then I heard a bell ringing and someone calling my name.

"Drew! Allison!" I looked behind me and saw Lydia gliding towards us with and unknown boy in tow. He looked handsome, but also looked like he was pissed at the world. Turn off.

"Hey Lydia!" Stiles said cheerily, but she acted like she never even heard him. She smiled at Allison and I, then grabbed the guys arm in hers.

"Short introduction. Drew, this is my boyfriend Jackson, Captain of the Lacrosse team! Jackson this is my cousin Drew I've been telling you about!"

"Hi." I mumbled. He nodded at me with a, supposably, charming smirk and a wink. I was taken back by it but didn't comment.

"Well, lets go! We need to get your schedule then get to class!" Lydia grabbed my upper arm lightly and began leading me away. I turned and saw Allison kiss Scott's cheek and wave at Stiles. They both waved at me afterwards and Allison came up beside me.

"Don't worry, it's not to bad. I promise." With that, we made our way into the giant school.

The first half of the day had gone by smoothly. Lydia had introduced me to everyone that she knew and thought was good enough to associate with me. Not that I really cared.

Allison talked about Scott every chance she got. Honestly, they are cute together, but I couldn't take anymore of it. Lunch had finally rolled around and I was behind Lydia in the lunch line. She was exceptionally chipper and it honestly scared me a bit.

"So, how's your first day been?"

"Well, other than the fact that I am dying in these jeans, it's been a pretty smooth day. Nothing that's blown my mind." I smiled at her and she nodded.

"Im staying at yours tonight so I can dress you up tomorrow, oh and so is Allison!" I blinked but nodded none the less.

We found a lunch table with Scott and Stiles, Allison, Jackson and some guy named Danny following behind. I ended up beside Stiles and across from Allison.

"So, Drew, how's your first day at Beacon Hills High been?" Scott chuckled. Allison giggled beside and I couldn't help but grin.

"Well, it's been interesting. But it's just like my old school, just bigger and more people." Jackson and Danny were looking at me really weird, and it was beginning to make me self conscious. "Um, is there something on my face, or am I just that good looking?" I asked them. Jackson's jaw dropped and Danny looked stunned. The rest of the table began giggling and I couldn't help but smirk.

"No, I was just curious where you are from. Your accent is really different." Jackson answered with a sour look on his face.

"Oh, well, I'm just your average country girl. I'm from Arkansas."

"Oh, so you're some crazy redneck?" Jackson smirked. I could feel my face drop into a scowl and my face turn red with anger.

"No, I'm not some crazy damn redneck! I don't walk around barefoot and in overalls that are dirty and don't fit me properly. Do we have some of those bastards there? Yes, but don't assume that everyone there is the same." I got up and grabbed my tray, making my way to the trash. Everyone at the table was stunned to silence but I didn't care. No one makes fun of my home place an gets away with it. I was walking away from the cafeteria when I heard my name being called.

"Drew! Wait!" I stopped and turned to find Stiles coming up behind me. I smiled at him and waited for him to catch up. "Hey." He breathed when he reached me.

"Hey, Stiles."

"Look, I'm sorry about Jackson. He is the asshole of the school and he shouldn't judge without knowing you." I looked at him funny but nodded.

"Well, it's okay. I'm sorry about blowing up. But it's always the same damn thing. People always assume the worst about where I'm from and I'm just tired of it. But shouldn't Lydia be apologizing for her boyfriends words and not you? Since you apparently don't even like him all that much?" He paused for a moment the chuckled.

"Well, I guess I just wanted a excuse to follow you and walk you to class?" He said as the bell rang. I smiled up at him and nodded.

"Okay."

"What class do you have next?"

"Um, Chemistry with Mr. Harris?" At that, Stiles busted out laughing.

"Well, good luck with him. I've got him last and so does Allison and Scott. But I think Lydia has him this period." I nodded and we began to walk. We stopped at a room and Stiles turned towards me.

"Good luck with this guy, just don't say a word unless spoken too and pay attention. You should be fine." I nodded and looked up at him.

"Thanks Stiles, I'll definitely take those into consideration." He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well, I guess I'll catch ya later?" He asked as students started flooding into the class. I nodded and smiled.

"Yeah, I'll see ya later." Then I turned and walked into the class.
