You Make Me feel Better

“This weekend was amazing, thanks” I said to James as he was driving me back to Baltimore, we were about an hour away now

“It was so great seeing you again, don’t be a stranger now!” James smiled

“Don’t worry, you’ll never get rid of me” I poked his shoulder and stuck my tongue out. It was so good to catch up with James again, even though it was a bit weird being back in New York after living in Italy for so long.

“So where am I dropping you?” James asked

“Uh, to Alex’s, I’ll give you directions when needed” I replied

“Good good, that boy is a catch, so make sure you catch him” James winked

“You are so weird, but yeah he seems pretty nice” I laughed. James was the most awesome gay best friend a girl could ask for.

“Okay here we are” I said as James pulled into the curb, about 20 minutes later.

“See you soon” He leant over to hug me before I got out of the car, grabbing my bag, then making my way to Alex’s front door.

“Ally! Hey!” Alex grinned as he opened the door, instantly pulling me into a hug.

“Hey there” I smirked as I walked in.

“Well come meet everyone” Alex said giddily as he motioned me to follow him. We ended up down in his room that had three guys and two girls sitting around on the couch and bean bags.

“So guys this is Ally” Alex introduced me

“Starbucks girl!” Jack waved

“Hey Jack” I giggled

“Well since Alex cant seem to introduce us, I’m Kara, this is Grace and Rian and Zack” The girl with dark brown straight hair said.

“Nice to meet you” I smiled and went to take a set near the two girls.

After the introductions everyone just got back to talking, they all seemed really nice. I found out that the four guys were in their own band, and Alex was the lead singer. They talked about everything they wanted to do over summer and what it would be like going back to school to start their senior year.

“So are you attending Dulaney?” Kara asked

“I am, but I’m a junior” I told her

“Well we can still hang out, it’ll be awesome!” I smiled; I can imagine that we will end up being great friends.

“Sup everyone!” a guy came down the stairs, he looked like an exact replica of Alex, except older, more muscular and shorter hair. This must be Isobel’s other son.

“Sup Drew?” Jack called out

“Not much Jacko, you guys just bumming round?” He asked

“Pretty much” Alex replied

“Who’s this?” Drew said motioning towards me

“I’m Ally” I answered

“Oh! Like thee Ally? The one Alex wont--” He was stopped mid sentence by Alex who jumped up and started to push him back up stairs.

“Uh we’ll go get some food and drinks” Alex said motioning for the guys to follow him.

“That was weird” I said slightly confused at what just happened.

“Alex has a massive ass crush on you” Kara said

“Wait what?” I asked

“You heard me” She smirked

“Seriously?” I asked shocked

“Yeah! He hasn’t shut up about you! We are all trying to convince him ask you out, but he thinks you’ll say no” Grace chimed in

“Well… I might just have ask him out” I smirked to myself

“Do it, it’ll hurt his ego, because he was too shy to ask you first” Kara nodded excitedly

By about six o’clock everyone cleared out and it was now just me and Alex, with Drew up his room. Apparently his parents were out for the night.

“So, Alex, I was wondering if you’d want to go out sometime?” I straight up asked

“L-like on a d-d-date?” He half stuttered, it was rather cute

“Yeah, a date” I grinned

“Umm yeah I’d love too” He replied quietly

“Good, how about you pick me up Wednesday at seven? Take me somewhere nice, so I can wear a dress and heels” I smiled

“Okay, that sounds good” He smiled, and I think I may of even seen a slight blush creep onto his face.

“Awesome, now reckon I could scam a lift home?” I asked

“Sure thing” He replied.

Alex drove me home, we talked the whole way, he was a really genuine guy, i hoped that it would actually go somewhere. Alex pulled up in front of my house, the trip seemed too short, I just wanted to keep talking to him.

“So I’ll see Wednesday?” He asked

“Definitely, but maybe lets not tell our parents, I’m not sure how they would feel about it” I told him

“Probably a good idea” Alex agreed

“Well, until Wednesday” I leant over and placed a light kiss on his cheek before getting out of the car and making my way up to the house, already mentally planning out the outfit I would wear on our date.
