Given a Chance

The year is 2050. Chaos ravages the streets. Children are left without parents, and adults are willing to slaughter each other. The thing that's keeping them from doing so is the virus. The "virus" takes effect as soon as somebody dies, as it reanimates the person, turning them into part of the undead.

One girl, Elizabeth Simms, had caught the virus, but it hasn't affected her. Scientists see this as a chance to cure the virus, restoring peace to their ravaged lives. Will she use this one time chance of survival as a means to rid the virus once and for all, or will she be used for scientific purposes which could kill her sooner than her destined time?

(Author's note! Aside from zombies, there will be a fairy and a vampire prince in this story, but only because I held a contest type thingy for people on my Facebook to claim one out of ten spots, and they wanted to be a fairy or a vampire prince, so... yep. This is probably going to be the most interesting story I've ever written, you guys.)
