Chapter One
"I'm going to miss you so much!" Danika screeched as she gave her best friend one last hug.
"I'll miss you too. But I won't be too far," Alicia said. Danika's grasp tightened and she sobbed lightly. "Oh, please don't cry," Alicia said and pulled away. "I'll call you every day."
Danika nodded and pulled her friend Tyler closer. Tyler stared at their feet on the ground. He couldn't say goodbye to Alicia. Their relationship had grown in these past few months. Even though everyone knew her visit wouldn't last long.
Alicia placed the last box in the truck and gave Danika one last hug. She handed a note to Tyler and drove away.
Alicia's traveling always got in the way of relationships. She could not stand being in one place for too long and always needed to be on the go. Friends never lasted, so boyfriends were never an option.
Next stop: Helsinki, Finland.
