What Lies Beneath
A lot can happen in three years. After the death of Sherlock Holmes, Laicee Bennett and her close friend John Watson thought life had lost its meaning. But slowly, day after day, they began to carry on, and now they've managed to resume their lives almost completely as they used to be. They've moved on and left the world of crime and detectives behind them, and finally, things are normal.
However, Sherlock wasn't the only one that died that day, and the friends and agents of James Moriarty are out for revenge. The leader of the criminals, Sebastian Moran, has set out to put an end to those still loyal to Sherlock Holmes. He will not let his best friend's death go in vain, and he's ready to do whatever it takes to silence the believers.
Now, Laicee and John are forced back into the world of consulting detectives, mysterious murders, and deadly mind-games that hold high stakes. This time, though, the game is more sinister, and losing is something Laicee and John cannot allow.
