Around the block from my parents’ restaurant, there’s this blue, old mailbox. Its paint is chipped and cracked, and it’s slowly rusting in some areas. It’s quite famous in this town of mine, and everyone calls it Cupid’s Mailbox. It’s not for regular mail people send you see. It’s for people’s love letters, confessions, or little, sweet things that they want to send to their crushes, spouses, or exes. This mailbox is for the people who are too shy to confess in person. It’s for the couples who want to send sugar sweet sayings to each other, and it’s for the exes who can’t say their last words over the phone or in person. Cupid’s Mailbox is for the people who are or have been in love.
I'm usually the cupid for people, so I never thought cupid would be sending letters to me.
