Roomies

I arrived to my school on move in day excited as hell, i was looking forward to being on my own and experiencing college life. My older brother and my parents helped my bring all my stuff to my dorm, i had a lot of things which was expected. We got in my room and one side of the room seemed to be set up so we started to unpack on my side. Everything was really easy to set up and we did it in no time. After we were done my dorm door opened and a boy walked in looking surprised.

"Oh. Hey" he said

"Hey. I think you have the wrong room" i said

"Uhmm..nope this is my room" he laughed

"Really?. Your Alex?" i asked

"Yep. Your Lila i guess?" he said

"Yeah" i said

"You were expecting a girl?" he asked laughing a bit

"Uhmm...yeah" i said

"Well im sorry to tell you but you got me" he said, this school lets boys and girls room together. I just never thought i'd end up with a boy roommate

"No its totally fine" i said

"Mkay. Hey im Alex" he said and then introduced himself to my parents and brother

"Hi. Im Amy, this is my husband Tyler and this is our son Sam" my mom said introducing herself and everyone else to Alex

"Nice to meet you" Alex said

"Nice to meet you as well, are you parents here?" my mom said

"No, they left already" he said

"I see. Well we should probably get going as well, let you two get to know one another. I'll see you in a few weeks Lila" she said hugging me

"Bye. Love you guys" i said and they all left me and Alex alone

"So...wanna go walk around the campus and check it out?. And we can get to know one another on the walk" Alex said

"Sure" i said and he nodded and we left the dorm

I was still surprised that i was rooming with a guy, a cute guy at that. We walked around checking out everything that this campus has to offer. We talked as we walked and Alex was really nice, he was also pretty funny. He really had a positive additude about him and it was nice. After a while we decided to lay down under a tree for shade.

"This place is nice" he said running his hands over the grass

"Yep" i said

"So, i never asked. What are you majoring in?" he asked

"Music production, you?" i asked and he raised a eyebrow at me

"Seriously?. Thats awesome!. Im majoring in music business" he said

"Thats cool" i said

"Mhmm. So where are you from?" he asked

"Uhm, North Carolina. You?" i asked

"Maryland" he said

"Sweet, ive never been there" i said

"Ive never been to North Carolina, ive always wanted to go" he said

"Maybe you can come back home with me when i go to visit in a few weeks" i said

"Yeah maybe" he said

Later that night while Alex took a shower i decided to video chat my friend Amanda, shes in California going to Stamford and i miss her. During our conversation she was telling me all about her crazy floor mates and how weird they are. After a while she asked me about my college experience.

"So is your roomate nice is she cool?" she asked

"Definitely nice" i said

"Does she have a hot brother?" she asked

"Well i actually am not rooming with a girl" i said

"What?, are you rooming with a guy?" she asked

"Yep" i said

"So this Alex person is a fucking guy?!" she asked shocked

"Mhmm" i said

"Thats crazy!" she said

"I know" i said and my door opened and i looked up and Alex walked in with just his underwear on

"Shit, im sorry. Im gonna need to get used to the fact that theres a girl living with me" he said going into his closet

"Its fine. Im used to it, my brother walks around half naked all the time like hes the only person in the house" i said and he laughed

"So what are you doing?, i was thinking we could have dinner together" he said

"Im just talking to my best friend Amanda" i said

"Nice" he said coming out fully clothed

"Mhm, Amanda this is my roommate Alex. Alex this is my best friend Amanda" i said turning my computer towards Alex

"Hey!" Amanda said

"Hey" Alex said

"So about dinner, are we eating on campus?" i asked turning the computer back to me

"Unless you wanna get fucking lost and end up as a episode of i shouldnt be alive. Then yes. When i know this area better we'll eat off campus" he said and i laughed

"Sounds good" i said

"Mhm. When would be good for you to go?" he asked

"Now i guess" i said and Amanda nodded

"Cool. I'll meet you downstairs" he said

"Okay" i said and he left the room

"Oh my god. Hes fucking hot!" she said and i laughed

"Yeah" i said

"Go have fun with your cute roommate. I want details later" she said

"Of course, i'll talk to you in a little bit" i said

"Bye" she said and i turned Skype off and shut my computer off before leaving the room and going to meet up with Alex
