Freckles

I got up early and woke up my best friend Jack, today was our first official day here and i didnt wanna spend a minute inside. We spent a lot of time just throwing sand at eachother and swimming. After a while we decided to go surfing, it was going great until Jack started yelling at me.

"Alex, watch watch the fuck out!" Jack yelled at me

"What?" i said and looked ahead of me and saw a girl in my path and i was gonna turn but i didnt have a chance and we collided head on. She tipped over and i fell off my board making it flip and crash into hers

"Smooth Alex" Jack said when i came up, i saw the girl hanging onto her board

"Are you okay?" i asked her

"Fine my board hit my back but i'll be okay. Might get bruised but whatever" she said

"Oh god, im so so sorry!. I didnt see you until the last second and i tried moving out of the way but i couldnt" i said

"Its fine. Im okay" she laughed

"Good. Im Alex, thats my friend Jack" i said

"Lani" she said

"Lani!, are you guys alright?" someone yelled from shore

"Were fine" she yelled back and he headed back to his house

"Boyfriend?" i asked

"Brother" she said

"I see" i said

"Well i think i should get back out there. Nice meeting you two, im sure i'll see you around" she said trying to get back on her board

"Woah, you have a gash on your back" i said

"Really?" she asked and felt her back and then wiped the blood off her back with a little bit of water

"Come back to my house and let me help you clean yourself up. Its the least i can do for crashing into you" i said

"Alright" she said

We all paddled back to shore, we abandoned our surf boards near the water and walked back to my parents beach house. We walked in and i took her into the kitchen to help clean her cut. While i was cleaning her cut my parents walked in.

"Uhmm...what is going on here?" my mom said

"Oh hey, this is Lani. Lani these are my parents Karen and Dave" i said

"Hi" Lani said

"Hello" they said

"So whats going on Alex?" my mom asked

"Well im helping Lani clean her gash on her back" i said

"So you just took a random injured girl home?. Shes not a bird Alexander" she said

"Pftt, Alexander" Jack laughed

"Mom shes not random. We met her because our surf boards collided" i said

"Are you alright?!" she asked concerned

"Im fine. I hit my elbow but im good" i said

"Well good to see you two are okay. It was nice meeting you" she said

"Nice meeting you to" Lani said and my parents left the kitchen

"There, your all patched up" i said

"Wow, your good" she said

"Well, i mean when your friends with someone as clumsy as Jack you get used to cleaning up peoples cuts" i said

"Fuck you. Im not clumsy" Jack said

"You so are. You walked into a damn doorway yesterday" i said

"Mkay...well i better get going. Thanks for bandaging me up" she said getting up off her chair

"No problem, sorry for crashing into you" i said

"Its totally fine" she said

"Hey Lani" i said

"Yeah?" she asked

"Would you wanna do a bon fire tonight. You can bring your brother and whoever else you want" i said

"Sure!. Sounds like fun. What time?" she asked

"Hmm...well it doesnt get dark until kinda late. So meet us on the beach at like 8:30?" i said

"Sounds good, see you then" she said

"Bye" we said and she left

"Your into her, i can tell" Jack said

"Fuck off" i said and he laughed
