Falling Feathers

Peregrin was pulled out of school at age twelve to be educated at home by her guardian Sophie, a short, curvy African-American woman with a warm southern accent she picked from living in Georgia all her life. Perry had created unnecessary conflicts withe her peers and even bigger ones with her teachers. Quite a rebel she was, but that wasn't the only reason she was pulled out of the building. The second? Peter. Peter Reach, her best friend that'd been glued to her hip at the age of five was abducted one night in the woods. Unable to cope with the loss of her childhood friend, Perry broke out in rebellious behavior, defying any kind of authority.

Now, five years later, Peregrin is forced to go back to school. She's greeted by a face she thought she'd never see again. She uncovers secrets about both her past and future that dust off some bitter memories of growing up as an orphan. Piled on top of all this, she experiences sexual frustration, inevitable confrontations and a spilled bowl of Lucky Charms. What could possible make this teens life worse? The fact that she has wings just might do it.
