The Lone Adventurer

"Mealanie, sweetie time to get up." Aaron's voice purred into her ears. A slight smile spread onto her lips.
"Are we at the border?" she asked sleepily as she rubbed her tired eyes.
"No, we passed it about a hour ago, you looked so peaceful, i just couldnt wake you."
"so were in california now?"
"yeah." he said smiling. "i just got us a hotel room. i paid for two nights."
"where did you get the money for two nights?"
"i took it from my dad."
"oh." Was all she could manage to say.
"come on, I think you will be more comfortable in a bed than my car." He said helping her to her feet.
"I look more forward to a shower than a bed."
"same."
"maybe we could shower together." she said with a wink.
"why don't we keep this pg." he said back.
“youre no fun.” She said as she closed the car door. The sound of it echoed through the dark empty parking lot.
