Afterthought

He gripped her arm with some force. It was new to her. Diana gazed back into the eyes of her mute conscience, his light eyes bore into hers as his serene will washed over her.

Di, you need to stop, his voice was a hush whisper in her mind and she faltered.

"Stop trying to save me, Evan."

She knew he could not resist her own defiant will and his hand dropped from her arm as moved away.

Diana danced around the room, around the man tied against the beam in the middle. She danced, singing soft words under her breath.

"Kill yourself, kill yourself, kill yourself!" She laughed.

His mind filled with thoughts that weren't his own, thoughts blossoming from her poisonous suggestion.

"You - you're infectious!" He rasped as she undid the ropes and stood back. Her suggestion became his action. He had found out what she was in his final moments as he killed himself.
