Our Little Girl

Melodys POV:
Today Alex was busy with the band so me and Devyn dropped him off at the studio and took Lennox to gymnastics class. Lennox was doing really well in the class, she learned how to do handstands and splits which is more then i know how to do. While i was watching Lennox and a few of the other little girls try to do a pyramid i was talking to Devyn.

"So...i need a man" Devyn said, she broke up with her last boyfriend a while ago

"Wow, way to be blunt" i laughed

"Im serious!" she said

"I bet you are but what am i supposed to do about it?" i asked

"Your boyfriend must know some single guys, call him and find out!" she said

"Are you serious?" i asked

"Yes!" she said eager

"Alright" i said pulling out my phone and i dialed Alex's number and after a few minutes he finally answered

"Hello?" he answered

"Hey Lex" i said

"Hey babe!, whats going on?" he asked

"Nothing, what are you up to?" i asked

"Working" he said

"Right. I'll make this quick" i said

"Mkay?" he said hesitant

"So.....do you know any single men?" i asked

"For?..." he asked trailing off

"Devyn" i said

"Thank god!. I thought you were gonna leave me for a second there!" he said joking and sounding relieved

"Shut up!. So do you?" i asked

"Are you serious?" he asked

"Mhm" i said

"So you interrupted me in the studio to see if i had someone that Devyn could date. And knowing her, fuck?" he asked

"Basically" i laughed

"Hmmm....well i have one friend, Jake ring a bell?" he asked

"Yeah, hes single?" i asked

"Yep" he said

"Do you think he'd be willing to come over tonight and meet her?" i asked

"Probably" he said

"Call him!" i said

"I'll call him once im finished here. Now if you'll excuse me i need to get back to work" he said

"Fine. Bye" i said

"Bye" he said and hung up and i hung up

"What did he say?!" Devyn asked

"He has a single friend that you might be able to meet tonight" i said

"Sweet!. Thank you!" she said excited

"Of course" i said

"I hope hes cute" she said and i rolled my eyes

After Lennox was done with gymnastics we all went down the street for some ice cream, it was really warm out and i was craving something cold. After we had ice cream we went to the mall for a bit and then headed home. When we got home Alex and Jack were sitting on the couch with their guitars.

"Hey" i said

"Hey!. How was gymnastics Len?" Alex said as Lennox went and sat next to Jack

"Fun. I learned how to tumble" Lennox said

"Awesome!, i always sucked at that kind of thing" he said

"Same here" i said sitting with Devyn on the other couch

"So babe, i talked to Jake" he said

"Really?, is he coming over?" i asked

"Yes he is. He'll be here at like 6" he said

"Yes!" Devyn said

"Now dont come onto him to strong, you'll freak him out" he said

"No i won't" she said

"Yes you will" he said

"Oh silly silly Alex. I will be the perfect little angel" she said batting her eyelashes at him

"Right" he said unconvinced

"Seriously though. I'll be good" she said and he nodded

We all went swimming and just hungout outside since it was so nice out. Later i started dinner with the help of Devyn while Alex and Jack kept Lennox occupied. While i was talking to Devyn while cooking i heard my name, i turned around and Alex walked in with Jake.

"Hey Jake!" i said hugging him

"Hey, how are you?" he asked, i havnt seen him in a while

"Im fine. You?" i asked

"Great" he said

"Cool. Well this is my best friend Devyn, Dev. This is Jake" i said introducing them to eachother

"Hey" he said

"Hi" Devyn said a little bit shy, she totally liked him already and i could tell

"I can see the spark already" Jack laughed holding Lennox on his hip

"What do you do for a living?" Devyn asked Jake

"Im a doctor, you?" Jake said and i could see Devyn light up

"Im a photographer" Devyn said

"Awesome!" he said and she nodded

"Auntie Devyn likes uncle Jake" Lennox giggled and Devyn blushed

"She so does" Jack said

We all had dinner and talked, Devyn and Jake seemed to be hitting it off well. Lennox kept teasing Devyn about her liking Jake and it was funny to see her continuously blush. After dinner was over we all went out back to enjoy the nice weather.

"So...what do you think of him?" i asked Devyn while the guys were down by the pool

"Hes so nice!. And hes a doctor?!, thats my dream man right there" she said drinking her beer

"I know it is" i laughed

"Do you think he'll ask me out?" she asked

"Maybe. If not i think you should, i think i could see you guys together" i said

"Totally. What do you think Len?. Should i date your uncle Jake?" she asked Lennox

"Totally!!!!!" Lennox said excited, bouncing in her seat

"You know him better then me, does he seem to like me?" Devyn asked me

"Yeah he does" i said

"Yes!" she said excited

"Mommy, when can i have a boyfriend?" Lennox asked me

"Not until your older. Like 15" i said

"Why?" she pouted

"Because you need to be older to date people" i said and she nodded

"Excuse me ladies. But i need Devyns number" Alex said walking over to us

"Why?" i asked

"Jake wants it" he said and Devyn gasped

"Seriously?!. Oh my god, this is amazing!" Devyn said pulling a pen out of her purse and writing it on his arm

"Why didnt he just come ask for it?" i asked

"He wasn't sure if she liked him. He didnt wanna make it to awkward" he said

"Awww. Well i do like him, alot" Devyn said

"Good to hear" he said and walked away

"Hopefully he will be my future husband" she said

"Lets not get ahead of ourselves" i laughed and she shrugged and drank her beer
