It's Time to Rock the Dragon

Chapter twenty five

“We’ll be there in less than a minute, the base is in sight. Oh would you look at that, they even have a run way for us to land on.” Launch smirked.

“Do you think it’s a really good idea to be landing on their runway?” I asked Launch.

“Why not?” Launch asked, not taking her eyes off the air.

“Well, it’s THEIR runway after all. It would alert them to our presence, and it would allow them to attack us quickly.” I replied.

“I must say, as much as it pains for me to agree with a fool like Charlotte, she’s partly right. Landing on their runway would be a bad idea. We have no idea how well they’ve constructed their runway, and it’s safer to predict how to land on the rocky terrain then what might be a poorly constructed runway.” Seto agreed.

“Those fools have no advantage knowing we’re here or not, I will defeat them either way.” Vegeta cockily replied.

“The man has spoken! Sorry Charlotte, but he’s right. We can take ‘em. It doesn’t matter.” Launch stated.

I just sat back silently in defeat. Maybe I was being too serious; Vegeta was apparently strong as was Goten if they could both hold up a plane. I’m sure they could take on whoever was waiting for us below.

Launch then touched the ground, and the runway was a little bumpy, as it looked dilapidated and unused. However, when it came to a gentle stop, it was apparent my fears were unwarranted after all.

“I suppose we’re getting out with no plan?” Seto asked as we all sat in silence for a few moments.

“What happened to ‘this is just a dream’ huh?” I teased Seto, turning to slightly face him.

“What are you talking about? It still is a dream. However there must be a reason for this dream, and if I am to fulfil this purpose I will wake up and get away from you freaks.” Seto huffed.

“Less yapping and more walking.” Launch smirked, pointing her gun at him.

She then opened the hatches, and the doors to the plane opened. Vegeta jumped out as well as Launch, and Goten happily bounced out, helping both Tea and I in the step down.

“My brother always taught me to be a gentleman to ladies.” Goten stated.

“Wow Charlotte, you sure picked a good one.” Tea said to me.

I just smiled at her as I ignored Seto slowly getting out of the plane. After he had done this, Launch changed the plane to capsule form and put it into her pocket.

“I think we’re best to split up. That way we can cover more areas, but we’ll still have strength in numbers.” Launch said, the first good idea to come out of her mouth.

“Alright. Well I’m not being in Seto’s group, and I’m sticking with Tea, so one of you three can join us to protect us seeing as though you three are the strongest.” I said, acknowledging Launch, Goten and Vegeta.

“Hmph. I don’t care who I’m with. You two decide.” Vegeta said to Goten and Launch.

“Well I must stay with sissy boy, he needs a gun to his back in order to make him obey it seems. So sorry kid, but you have no choice, you’re going with both girls.” Launch smirked at Goten.

“Good!” Goten smiled happily.

“Alright. I guess we’ll take south of the base, it’s more open space and we can easily call you three if we find anything. You guys check north, and if you get into any danger call us over.” I strategically planned.

“Here, take this.” Launch said, digging into her pocket and throwing me a capsule.

“What is it?” I asked, but answered my own question as I clicked the top and a walkie-talkie appeared in my hand.

“Did you expect to be able to hear each other if we yell? No way. Now let’s all go kick some ass!” Launch smirked.

Vegeta then took off, and Launch shoved her gun into a disgruntled Seto’s back, who began to walk slowly

“I want you to keep holding the Walkie Talkie, okay Charlotte? I don’t trust myself with it.” Tea said to me, as I stared down at it.

“Alright.” I nodded, as we began to walk in a south-like fashion.

We all were silent as we walked the desert area, looking around. However, it was a little hopeless as all we could see was open sandy plains.

“This is ridiculous. It was a dumb idea to search these plains, they’re obviously using their old infrastructure which is the part the others are looking at. Should we head over to their camp?” I asked the other two.

“Maybe they have a secret base or something hidden.” Goten shrugged.

Tea looked at Goten, and then looked around at the surroundings.

“He has a point. There is a lot of desert around; it would be a waste of space to not use it all. I’m sure they have other uses around here, but as a group we’d never be able to find it all. We should all split up again to search the entire area.” Tea stated.

“Do you think that sounds like a good idea?” I asked her, raising my eyebrows.

“Well, it does sound a little risky, but if we stay close by to each other we can run over to help. We’re all friends now, so we all have a bond” Tea stated.

“That’s true. Alright, but we’ll have to be close by, alright?” I asked Tea.

“Let’s go!” Goten happily said, skipping off in another direction.

Tea and I looked at each other and laughed, before taking a few steps away from each other to search what was around us.
