Coming Home

. (Marigold's POV)

When I awoke the next morning, my body felt sore and my eyes were more swollen and red than ever."Well obviously I didn't handle that so well." I mumbled to myself before getting up out of bed and practically dragging myself over to the bathroom to take a hot shower.

The feeling of the warm water hitting against my skin made me start to feel tons better than I did a short while ago.The smell of the fruity soap that filled my nose made me sigh in content.Until I was rudely interrupted by someone's loud knocking on the door."Hold up!" I shouted, annoyed that my relaxing time was clearly over.

I stepped out with my towel tightly wrapped around me before I opened the door slowly, only to reveal a very happy looking Jimmy."Uhh can I help you Jimbo?" I chuckled as I walked past him and over to my closet to pick out something to wear for the day."I got a girlfriend." He chimed excitedly, flashing one if his signature smiles at me.

I couldn't help but smile back and be nothing but exited for him."That's great Jim! I'm so happy for you." I squealed, giving him a hug.He shook his head, pointing over towards the bathroom."Thanks baby, now hurry up and get dressed! We're gonna go meet the guys in about a half hour at the beach so you can meet my woman!" He beamed before lightly shoving me inside and closing the door.

I giggled but reluctantly took my time getting ready.After all the drama that had ensued in the last 24 hours, I wasn't exactly too fond of the idea that I was going to be faced with having to see Gena again especially when I knew that my best friend had gotten her pregnant, only confirming it more that he would never be anything more than my friend.

"Alright I'm ready!" I exclaimed before heading out of the bathroom, grabbing my bag on the way down to the living room where Jimmy was waiting for me."Finally!" He shouted, jumping up quickly to his feet and rushing me out the front door and to his car where we finally headed off to the beach.

(Zacky's POV)

"Ugh did we have to go to the beach today? It's so hot today." Gena huffed, fanning herself with her hands.I wrapped an arm around her waist and planted a soft kiss to her forehead."Sorry babe, but Jimmy wants us to meet her." I said, looking up and over at Matt who was smirking slightly.

I knew what he was thinking, I knew what they all were thinking.But for now I was just going to keep going along with this until I had actual proof.Besides, if this baby is mine, I'm going to be the best damn father ever and love it more than anything else in this world.

"Marigold!" I overhead Val yell, waving her over to where we were all sitting by the water.Just perfect, this day couldn't go anymore difficult for me, could it?

"Hey Z, Gena." She smiled over at us.I returned the smile which Gena didn't seem too keen of."Hi Marigold, wow your looking nice today.Seeing someone special?" Gena said with a smirk.I couldn't help but roll my eyes slightly at her words.I swear it was like she was trying to make things an argument.

"Actually I am, thanks for noticing." She replied cooly, before walking over and sitting beside Jimmy who was helping Lena, his new girlfriend, put sunscreen on her shoulders.She was really nice and cared for him tons, so if he was happy then we were all happy for him.

"Babe I'm gonna go dip my feet in.Michelle, Lacey, care to join?" Gena offered to the two girls who nodded in agreement and followed one an other down to the shore.I decided to take the opportunity to meet with Lena who was laughing cheerfully at whatever her and Mari were talking about.

"Hi, Zacky it's nice to finally meet you." Lena greeted me with a small hug.I smiled "Same to you, Lena.Hey Marigold do you have a second?" I asked looking over at her.I could see her eyes go from me to Lena before shrugging her shoulders in response.

After we excused ourselves from the gang, we headed over towards the pier, not really making much of a conversation until we were out if earshot from everybody."So." I began slowly, not really sure what to say until I saw Marigold glance over to where you could see Gena and the girls from a distance."I really am sorry about her.I just don't know what the hell to do, everyone keeps saying that the baby isn't mine." I blurted out honestly seeing a shocked look come to her face.

"Really? But Zacky I thought you two were together for a long time? You really think that she cheated on you?" She asked once we sat down on a small bench.I shook my head sadly, not really wanting to admit that I did in fact think that.Gena and I had been together for almost 3 years, I loved her death, but the fact that she may have cheated on me drove me insane.

"Yeah, I know.But I just don't know what to do Marigold, how am I suppose to find out?" I groaned in frustration.She just sighed while resting her head against my chest.The way she looked up at me with her soft hazel eyes made my heart melt.She really did look beautiful even without any of her make up on."Be upfront about it.You deserve better then that Zack." She said softly, almost barely enough for me to hear.

I couldn't help but grin widely, running my hands through her short and shaggy hair."You know I do love you don't you?" I whispered into her ear, kissing it gently.The sound of her breathing picked up and I could tell that she was getting anxious."I think we should really get back Z, I don't want anyone to start to talk.Your still taken." She said with a hint of bitterness in her voice.

I sighed and groaned in protest but agreed that we'd head back anyway."Well there you guys are! Short shit! I found the lost puppies!" Jimmy yelled out over to Johnny who was walking back from by the shoreline."Sorry guys I just went to walk around." I lied, even though I knew that they knew the truth.

I sat back down beside Gena and pressed a soft kiss to her lips which she gladly returned back."I love you Zack." She smiled.Before I could say a word, I couldn't help but notice Marigold's face stricken with a look of sadness.

But I knew I had to keep my distance and do what was the best thing for now.I turned away and looked at Gena."I love you too baby.No one but you."
