Link held her tightly. At nights, here in the house was the only time he had away from the battles, the fights, and the horrors he had seen on the battlefield. As he heard her whisper back to him that she loved him too and the calming words that followed, he held her tightly to him and leaned down and kissed her gently on the cheek.
“I know, Zelda. I think I have always known.” He smiled back at her. “Tomorrow though, I have to go and speak to the Gorons and see if they have the swords ready for our troops.” He smiles again. “And get a new tunic, this one is a bit damaged to say the least.” As long as he looked at her, he knew he could smile.
