Chapter 24
"get a bunch of paper plates and cups" i said to Ashton
we were walking round the grocery shop buying stuff for our big bbq get together at my house, his family was coming and the boys too.
he walked off to another aisle while i put different bread buns into the basket. we had burgers, hotdogs, chicken and a bunch of other foods to cook. I went looking for Ashton because he was taking so long to get the plates, like how can it take you so long to pick up a couple packets of cups and plates he's been gone for like 10 minutes.
I turned the corner to the aisle and i saw he was taking pictures with a group of girls maybe about 13. I didn't it was best for me not to go over so i carried on to get a couple drinks.
I texted Ashton to let him know where i was
"Gone to the drinks aisle saw you were with fans thought best for me not to come over"
I picked up some sprite, diet coke, regular coke, lemonade and a water.
"sorry took so long" i heard as my basket got taken off me thank God becuase i don't think i would have been able to carry it with the drinks in it
"It's okay"
"so have we got everything" he asked
"yup i think so, lets head back my dad probably thinks we've died or something we've been gone for so long"
we headed to pay and then carried the bags to the car. Just as we were about to get in another group of girls came up. I guess word got out he was there.
"Excuse me Ashton, sorry to bother you but may we get a picture" one said
well at least they are polite.
"Sure" he replied
i got into the car and watched him interact with the 5 girls. he took pictures with all of them
"you know, you really should just admit you and Olivia are dating, you guys are cute together" one said
"we're just friends"
"sure, no ones buying it. Just friends don't go grocery shopping together"
"They do when their families are getting together and asked you to pick stuff up" he said
"but anyways i have to get going i have to get home for our bbq get together. Nice meeting you girls" he added hugging them each once more before getting in
"Ready" i asked
"home James" he said laughing
i carefully backed out making sure none of those girls or any other pedestrians were in the way and headed back home
"sorry we took so long" i said we we headed out the back of my house where my dad was with Anne, harry and lauren
"it's okay, lets just hope you got everything"
we put the bags down and took everything out putting the food near the bbq and the drinks and plate etc on one of the tables by our main outside table.
"i'm gonna run upstairs quick and change into a bikini" i said before running inside and up the stairs.
i searched my draws and found my pink floral ruffle Bandeau bikini top and pink bottoms i put it on and pulled out a coverup from the draw too before I grabbed a bunch of towels for everyone from the closet across the hall by the bathroom. I ran back downstairs and just as i reached the last step the doorbell rang
i opened it to see Luke, Calum & Michael with their Parents there.
"hey guys come on in, we're all out back" i said stepping aside to let them in.
We went out back and Harry, Lauren and Ashton were all in the pool already
Calum, Michael and Luke Join them as soon as they got outside.
i decided to go tan a bit and played down on one of our deck chairs.
"Such a lovely day for a get together BBQ" i tweeted
"Babe, come play chicken" i heard
"Nah i'm good" i replied
"Please babe"
"but i want to tan" i replied
"one game and then i'll come and tan with you"
aka him saying he will come cuddle with me without saying it with our parents right there
"fine" i replied
i got up and walked to the edge of the pool and carefully slid myself in. the water felt nice on my hot body.
"okay Michael and Luke, Verus the lovebirds" Calum said
Ashton ducked underwater and put me on his shoulders. Michael did the same with luke
"okay get ready" Calum said from the edge of the pool.
"You ready to lose lukey" i said
"aww livbear do you really think you're going to win" he said laughing
he may be a full foot taller than me but when you're sitting on someones shoulders being tall is a disadvantage.
"BATTLE" calum shouted
i grabbed onto lukes hands and started pushing, he did the same
"Go on babe, you can do it" Ashton said as he held onto my legs keeping me balanced
"go on babe you can do it" Michael mocked laughing
i freed my hands from Luke and pushed his shoulders she became unbalance for second but stayed up smirking at me h lightly pushed me.
"come on Luke that was pathetic" i said grabbing onto his shoulders again
"Okay then" he pushed me again and next thing i know i left water all around me. i came up from under the water and Luke was smirking and high fiving Michael
"i dont like this game" i pouted
"foods ready" i heard my dad shout
we all got out of the pool and quickly used our towels to dry off a little and then headed over. our parents took the table so we got out food and sat on the deck chairs.
Luke, Michael, Calum and Ash took all the deck chairs
"No fair" i said as i stood with my plate
"come here" Ashton said was sitting up on the deck chair and i sat between his legs resting my back on his chest. I had his plate on my lap as i held mine with my hand.
"Liv, where is Maui" Luke asked
"She went to her friends house, she wanted her friend to come to this, but we didn't think it was the best idea as she's a fan of yours and yeah complicated"
"oh that sucks"
"shes use to it" i replied before taking a big bite into my hotdog.
We finished our food and Calum, Michael, Luke, Harry and Lauren all went into the pool again.
I laid down more onto Ashton with his legs spread eitherside down the deck chair.
"you know i'm gonna laugh so much if you get tans lines on your stomach where i am"
"it would not be funny at all" he replied
"Just a little"
"okay maybe a little
"smile" i said holding my phone up with the camera on.
after i took the picture my phone came up with a bunch of twitter notifications

"Babe what are they talking about" i said
"I dont know but my phone is going crazy"
i went onto the bands twitter and saw it
@5sos who do you think will win team Luke or Team Calum" a picture of Luke with Harry on his shoulders & Calum with Lauren and in the far distance behind them you can see Ashton and I on the deckchair taking the picture we just took
"Shit" i said
Ashton Quickly logged onto the bands account and took it down. Which i dont really see the point of i mean it's probably already been saved 1000's of times.
"Its not like Michael was focused on us, he probably didn't even notice" i said
"Yeah, he probably didn't even see it"
"come on lets get in the pool" i said getting up and pulling Ashton up with me
we jumped into the pool and we played all sorts of games like marco polo, jump contests, we got the floats out. everyone stayed until the sunset. It was nice having everyone together, we hadn't done it in so long. My dad seemed to enjoy talking to the guys parents as well. He only really ever talks to Anne.
Maui came home sortly after everyone came back
"You know Jamie went absolutely batshit crazy on me when she saw the picture" she said coming into my room
"What" i replied
"the picture posted on the bands twitter, even if you and Ashton were loved up in it, she would have still seen that it was infact our house and she was like why couldn't we hang out at your house again oh BECAUSE MY FAVOURITE BAND IS THERE AND YOUR SISTER IS DATING A MEMBER"
"Sorry, i didn't know why would be taking pictures and i sure as hell didn't know Ashton and i were in it like that, why do you think we took it down so quickly"
"i don't care honestly, i just had to deal with her and yes id id have to explain the whole "you're dating but cant say thin"
"MAUI how could you do that" i shouted
"Because she needed to know the truth, like what was i meant to do. be like "oh no they aren't dating, they're just friends and yeah i've not let you come over because they are always there"

"shes my best friend Olivia, she wont tell anyone i swear"
