"I don't know how to tell him" Nathalie said holding onto Mario
"It's either we tell him or Jessica does and she is in no state to do that....I will tell him sweetheart" he said wiping the tears from her cheek
"I can't believe this is happening, I don't understand"
"Is her parents on the way" he asked, she nodded her head
"Well they are going to get on the 1st flight they can but I haven't heard yet" she said taking a deep breath
"Mario, Nathalie" they heard, they turned to see Sidney running down the hall, Taylor next to him, they both stood up
"Sid" Nathalie said hugging him
"What's going on, how is Jess" he asked, the worry was written all over his face, Nathalie frowned and looked at Mario
"Jessica is fine, but Sidney I need you to sit down for a second" Mario said, he looked at him confused
"How are my babies? They are ok right" he asked, Nathalie took his hand
"Sidney there is no easy way to say this" Mario started, Sidney caught his breath as Taylor's eyes widened
"What's going on" Taylor asked
"She is still carrying both babies, but MaKenna has passed away"
"What!! No!!" Sidney said, he looked at Nathalie as if he were asking for help
"Keegan is still alive, but they have to induce labor to make sure he stays alive, Sidney umm....she is going to have to deliver MaKenna stillborn and I'm sorry son, but you will have to bury her" Mario said, Sidney collapsed into Nathalie's arm, sobs and tears coming uncontrollably
"I'm so sorry sweetie" Nathalie said trying to control her own tears
"Does mom and dad know" Taylor asked Mario as she hugged Sidney, Mario nodded slowly
"I went ahead and told everyone's family and everyone should be on their way" he said
"Jessica, where is she" Sidney asked wiping his face "I need to see her"
"She is waiting for you, come on I will take you to her" Nathalie said
"We will give them some time" he said sitting next to Taylor, she nodded slowly and watched her brother walk down the hallway
"She needs you more than ever right now" Nathalie told him, Sidney nodded and they stopped in front of the door "we will be in the waiting room, we love you guys so much"
"We love you too, I really don't know what we would do without y'all" he said hugging her
"Get in there" she said, he nodded and took a shaky deep breath before opening the door. It was cold, the lights where dim, and there were a lot of machines going off
"Jess" he said softly as he closed the door, he looked at his wife who was laying on the bed almost lifeless, he walked to the chair and saw her asleep with a breathing mask next to her "baby" he said softly touching her hand
"Sidney" she said opening her eyes
"I'm here" he said forcing a smile "I'm not going to leave your side" he said
"Please tell me they are lying and she is ok, both of the babies are ok" she said between sobs
"Baby I wish I could, I know this doesn't seem real, and I wish there was something I can do but we need to be somewhat strong for Keegan, he has to be ok" Sidney said, she slowly nodded her head
"Mr and Mrs. Crosby" they heard
"Dr. Anderson" Sidney acknowledged, he pulled up a chair next to the bed
"I am so sorry" he said
"Do we know why" Sidney asked
"We do not, normally in situations like these it's a numerous amount of things, stress, the baby not getting enough nutrients, a weak heart. In this case my guess would be her heart just wasn't strong enough" he said. Sidney looked at Jessica and squeezed her hand "we are going to go ahead and induce you, and do a emergency c-section when it's time" he said, Jessica nodded "we need to get your son and make sure everything is ok, also Mr and Mrs Crosby, when we take your son, we will obviously have to take your daughter as well so you will have a chance to see her and hold her if you would like to say your goodbyes" he said, Jessica looked at Sidney and began to sob again "you will have a little over a week to have her funeral, our main focus will be on making sure you and your son are ok, tomorrow we will schedule a grievance councilor to come see you both as well as the hospital Chaplin" he said, Sidney nodded "I will let the 2 of you be alone, and I will be back in about 30 minutes to get the medicine started" he said standing up
"Thank you" Sidney said, Dr Anderson nodded his head
"I am very very sorry" he said walking out of the room
"I am so sorry Sidney"
"For what" he asked rubbing her hand lightly
"For killing our baby" she said, Sidney looked at her
"This isn't your fault Jessica"
"If I wouldn't have been so stressed this pregnancy"she started
"You heard Dr. Anderson it was probably because her heart wasn't strong enough, you had nothing to do with this sweetheart ok? Don't you blame yourself for this please Jess I'm begging you" he said "I need you to be ok, and I need our son to be ok, I can't lose anymore people especially you and guilt and heartache could make me lose you" he said tears running down his cheeks "please Jess" he said, she nodded slowly "we are going to be ok, we are going to give her the most beautiful funeral, lay her to rest and join our family in heaven for eternity, we are going to miss her everyday and we will never stop loving her but we will be ok, we are a family and we will get through this together" he said, she nodded as he leaned down to press his lips against her "I love you so much"
"I love you too Sidney" she said wrapping her arms around his neck "do you want to see anyone before they start everything"
"Yes"
"Who do you want to see" he asked
"Everyone" she said, he stood up and kissed her gently before walking to the door
"How is she" Taylor asked, Sidney shrugged
"As good as she can be, you guys can come back, they are going to induce her in a little bit" he said, Nathalie squeezed Taylor's hand to give her a reassuring smile "were going to be ok" he said taking a deep breath
"Yes you will, you have amazing love and support" Nathalie said, Sidney nodded and turned to walk back to the room. Taylor walked to the bed and leaned down to hug Jessica
"I love you Jess" she said forcing a smile
"I love you too" she said before hugging Mario and then Nathalie. Sidney walked back to the chair he was sitting on and took her hand
"Both of your families should be here within the next few hours" Mario said sitting down. Sidney looked at the clock and sighed, it was going to be a long heartbreaking night
