Giving up My Humanity and My Servitude to a Vampire

Magician

{Jacob's Point of View} [Emily's Brother]

Ten years, it's been ten years since the death of Emily. Ten years since I've seen her smile, laugh and hug me.

And like every year we come to her grave and bring purple roses, which were her favorite.

We all had grown so much and it was all thanks to Emily. She taught us what was right and wrong, good and bad.

I was a lawyer. James was in college, along with Daniel and Olivia was still in Catholic school, and she looked like our mother.

"I can't believe it's been so long." Olivia leaned her head on my shoulder. She touched the necklace. She said Emily left it for her one night, of course we didn't believe her because it was after her death, but she kept to her story.

"I know." I rubbed her shoulder.

James and Daniel sighed.

"Can we go home now?" James crossed his arms.

"Have you no respect?" Olivia growled and walked away.

"What?" James asked, as me and Daniel shook our heads.

"You're really insensitive, James." I scolded.

"What?! She left us, we didn't leave her!" He pointed at Emily's grave.

I balled my hands into fists and I wanted so badly to punch him in the face.

"Shut up." Daniel hissed.

James walked away as well.

"I'll get him." Daniel rolled his eyes and went after James.

I stood alone.

"See what has become without you, our glue, holding us together? You've missed so much, Emily. I miss you. I miss you." I closed my eyes.

Like every year I felt someone looking at me through the bushes and trees but as always it was inside my head.

I sighed heavyly and walked away.

{Emily's Point of View}

Every year I came when they came to mourn my fake grave. The first three or five years were the hardest to watch. Olivia always cried and her hand clinged to the necklace I gave her.

But as time went on, I saw the change in James, the...I wouldn't say hate but...anger brewing inside of him and he would so often let out steam and blame me. He would say that I left them, like he did today.

Jacob would always suspect someone watching him and always shrug it off. But today I was going to save them from my own kind. They were going to attack tonight but I was going to get to them before that.

Back at the headquarters I got dressed in my usual black clothes. As I slipped on my
tank top I felt Matt's arm around my torso from behind.

"I love you, Ems." He kissed my cheek.

I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck and looked up at him. Even after all these years, which seem only months to me, his blue eyes make me go weak in every way. How he still has that power over me? I have no idea, but I love it.

"And I love you, Matt."

|| Outside Her Family's House ||

I had no idea how I was going to approach them, but I was thinking of just waking up Jacob and explain to him and then get the rest of the family.

I entered a random window, with my men outside I was ready to face my family, who think I've been dead for the past ten years. Who mourn a girl who only looked like me and nothing more.

Their house was a bit bigger than a regular house. The house was quiet.

"How was school, Olivia?"

I froze at the sound of Jacob's deep voice. It was the room across from where I was, in between was the entrance hall and door. The fire place was lit and I sensed blood bumping. They were at the living room but they were suppose to be asleep now.

The thought of seeing them face to face made me walk closer and closer to them. I was about to cross the hall when the door bell rang.

I quickly hid behind one of the walls on the other room. I heard movement. By the sounds of the steps it was Jacob. He opens the door. Lighting is heard not too far. I looked out the window that was closest and saw that it was pouring rain and there was thunder and lighting.

"Itachi, it's so good to see you."

My eyebrows rose in surprise, had I heard right? My eyes moved frantically as my breathing became uneasy.

"Hello, Jacob." There was no mistaken, that was his voice.

What was he doing here? No, he couldn't be behind this operation. He knew about my family...in fact he knew everything about me. My strengths...-gulps-...my weaknesses.

"Sorry to visit so late, but I have very important news. Hello Olivia, James, Daniel."

The rest joined Jacob at the entrance door.

"Evening, Itachi." I heard Oliva say. Her voice sounded like my mom's. I smiled at that. In her voice I could tell she didn't like him very much.

"You need to come with me now."

I had to cloak my powers from Itachi because if he sensed me, all hell would break loose.

"Why?" Jacob asked.

"No time to explain, get your coats and let's go, you're in danger let's go."

I couldn't let this happen. I heard Jacob open the coat closet. I took deep breaths.

"Stay where you are." I appeared out of the shadows my eyes locked on Itachi.

He looks at me and his eyes widened.

"Devi-chan."

"Don't you call me that." I hissed, I felt my eyes change.

Olivia gasped and so I turned them back to gray. Itachi smirks and steps inside the house and closes the door behind him.

"You've turned your back on your own kind?"

Jacob took the older brother roll and stretched out his arms protectively, James, Daniel and Olivia behind him; she peeked through the sides to take a look.

"You crossed the line." I said, in a calm voice.

"Everyone thinks you were kidnapped, but I'm sure King Edward would love to hear about your treason."

"Who are you and how did you get in our house?!" Jacob finally had the courage to speak up. I turned my eyes to him and he squinted his eyes through the darkness. Lighting strikes and the reflection hit my voice for a second.

"Emily?" Olivia gasped.

"She's not who you think she is. She may look like Emily but that's not her." Itachi
stood in front of Jacob.

"You don't lay a single finger on my family!" I hissed my eyes changed, again.

"She's dangerous, she drinks human blood."

I glared at him.

"What?" Jacob's voice was shaky and confused.

"She's a vampire!" Itachi hissed.

Then from both sides of the room vampires appear. Weapons in their hands and smirks on their faces.

"What's going on?" Olivia whispered, she was scared.

This got me angry.

My men came down the stairs with weapons in their hands.

"You made the wrong decision, Emily."

"Jake, Daniel, James, Olivia, get away from him. He's also a vampire and the enemy." I never took my eyes off Itachi.

"She's lying, she wants to kill all of you because you're her weakness and she can't have weak--" I cut him off.

"Olivia-olive." My voice changed into sweet and soft and my eyes as well. I looked at her. "Believe me, get away from him. Trust me." I reached out my hand for her to take.

She looked at me and she held her necklace. But I knew she believed me and so she took steps towards me.

"Olivia." Jacob warned.

"Jake, when you were ten you still sucked your thumb, do you think if I was a different Emily I would know that? James, you have asthma and Daniel you were named after our Uncle who died in World War I."

They all seemed surprised but I looked in each other their eyes and they all walked towards me.

Itachi's nostrils flared.

"Kill them all." He ordered and disappeared.

I stretched out my arms and used my powers to sent them off flying to the walls. I used it also to opened the door. Then, I sent Itachi to hit the ceiling and kept him there.

"Follow me." I took out my gun and cocked it. Two vampires blocked the way and snarled.

I aimed and shot them in the heart. Each bullet contained small amount of dead man's blood which would explode inside the vampire and posioning, him or her and slowly killing them.

The rain poured down on us.

I felt their tensed muscles behind me. I shot two more vampires along the drive way. Olivia let out short screams. Through the woods I saw William in his wolf form.

"Ahhhh!! There in the woods...a-a-a b-big wolf..th-thing!" Oiliva pointed at the woods.

I could see my breath in front of me as smoke came out of my mouth.

"He's with me, don't worry." I grinned at the woods. I heard him howl. "Move faster."

"You have a lot of explaining to do!" Jacob growled, his deep voice still surprised me so much.

"Not now, Jake." I said moving my eyes around searching for any ambush attacks.

I hear a 'whoosh' sound. An arrow was coming. I raised my hand and the arrow stopped before it reached my face. I switched the directions and sent it back twice as fast.

"How were you able to do that?!" James shrieked.

"No time, James." I growled, I started to walk fast and the had to run to keep up with
me.

"Slow down!" Daniel barked.

I stopped and turned. "If I slow down they'll get us."

"Who's they?" James asked.

"Her own kind." A venemous voice said in the shadows.

Itachi stood in front of me with a grin on his face. I gave him a death glare.

I heard William come out from the woods.

"Follow William and you'll be safe." I ordered, the followed without hesitation and me and Itachi were left alone.

The wind picked up along with the tension.

"Why now? Why are you attacking now?" I asked, he kept a serious look.

"We've made a discovery." He brought out his sword and so did I.

"And what would that be?"

"A magician never reveals their secret."

"You're no magician." I pointed out.

"I think you know what I mean." Itachi smirked.

I made the first move, which he blocked easily. I put more pressure on my attacks, made them quicker so he wouldn't know where the next one would go. But he was the one who taught me everything and knew my plan even before I did.

"You honestly think you can defeat me, Devi-chan?"

"Don't call me that." I growled.

I made another attack, but I kept my emotions in control.

"Emily!" Matthew called out for me.

This distracted me and Itachi drove his sword through my stomach. He knew I wasn't going to die but it would sure weaken me since I was still part human, somehow.

"Nooo!!" I heard Matthew roar. Everything became blurrier. I looked to see Itachi get hold of Matthew. Itachi punched Matthew which caused him to pass out and then everything became black....then silence took over.
