Chapter 6: Starlight
Ryder's p.o.v: ugh! it's Monday and my backpack is basically tipping me over. i'm dragging my backpack until i feel someone trying to pick it up and i turn around and see Ezra picked it up.
"Weakling" he mutters and i scoff
"I'm not that weak. My backpack is just heavy" i scoff and he laughs
"it's not that heavy. but eh. i'll carry it." he tells me
"Why?" i ask
"Cause your cute" he says simply and i feel my cheeks heat up
"i'm actually not" i tell him
"yes you are. and reserve a babysitter. you have plans Friday night"
"No..i don't" i question
"yeah you do. we are going to a party and your my date" he tells me and my jaw drops
"I will do no such thing. especially in a horrendous place like that with wankers getting bloody high and drunk." i yell
"come on. please. i'll take you somewhere you want to go and i'll pay. no matter the cost." he begs and gives me puppy dog eyes that just melt my soul
"Fine! You arsehole. and you pinky promise?" i say
"Pinky promise" he repeats and we wrap pinkies
"ok your taking me to Comicon. and you're paying for everything." i tell him and his jaw drops to the floor
"You said anywhere. so what time?" i ask
"Be ready by nine" he tells me and then pulls me to him and he's hugging me from behind. "Where something.... hot...or sexy." he whispers in my ear and i tense up then i turn to face him looking for words to say then he kisses me! he Kisses ME! and i let him. What happened Ryder you told yourself you wouldn't let anyone control you. oh well i just lean into the kiss. then i push him off lightly
"Save it for the party" i say into his ear and he has this deviant smile on his face and i walk away. where the hell did that come from! i didn't think i could ever do something! and to say something like that! holy cheese! AHHH! ok Ryder stop mentally fangirling over this guy. but you are going to a party with him. i dance walk to my next class. well the library. i t.a. there.
"Nice make out scene out there kid" i hear a girls voice say and i jump and look at my red headed neighbor
"Heh.. yeah" i say shyly with my cheeks heating up
"You be careful with him. he may just change you." she warns me.
"ok" i stutter out and walk to my class. i'm walking in the hall way when someone shoves me and my glasses fall off
"Shit" i mutter and i try to find them then i hear a shatter and it comes from under my knee. i back up and i see a black blob that is my glasses. shit! and all i have now is my contacts. i get my phone out and put it close to my face so i can see it and text Ezra asking if he can give me a ride real quickly. and he says sure. i hear footsteps then a tap on my shoulder. i get scared and try to hit the person but miss and almost fall then the person catches me
"Calm dude its me Ezra. lets go" he says and he helps me walk out since i can't see a thing and he drives me home. we walk in and he has his arm linked with mine and we walk into a room and he finds my contacts and i put them in. yay! i can see!
"You look hot without glasses" he tells me and before i can reply i hear a pounding on my door i open it and see a mad Mr. DeMarco glaring at me. he thinks we were doing something... oh shit
"What are you two boys doing in here?!" he shouts at us and i flinch starting to panic and hyperventilate
"We were fucking dad that's all" Ezra says calm but sarcastically and Mr. DeMarco glares at us then just glares at me and i hide behind Ezra in fright
"Why are you so scared of everything? you where the one who agreed to go back to your house with my son in the school day while i was doing the lawn. and heaven know what you two where going to do!!!" he yells and i just panic more
"we came to get his contacts dad. his glasses broke. nothing happened.... yet" Ezra tells his dad and the dad gets even madder
"Just get back to school now! Ezra i'll deal with you now" The dad seethes and storms off
"So we going back?" i ask
"Fuck that! lets have a little fun with this" he says and drags me to his car and we drive of super fast. oh god i hope i live through this. what trouble is he going to get me into now?!
