Nothing Else Matters

Three.

a feeling of deep set dread washed over her as he towered above her, even standing she was much shorter than him and although she hated to admit much weaker, she took a deep breath as she locked eyes with him almost feeling her soul shrivel under his glare, the corner of his mouth turned up slightly

"I just need you to play along"

The cool August air was bracing making the archer pull his coat a little tighter around himself he wasn't sure where he was going he knew he was hungry but undecided on what his appetite called for, he enjoyed his own company so was in no rush to find somewhere he turned what felt like corner after corner just killing time for a few hours, allowing himself to get lost in his thoughts.

He jerked her head forward in to the wall I front of them he knew she wouldn't loose consciousness through these blows alone he just needed her to look the part, to look damaged and shaken he needed her to look the victim, she kicked back making him lose his grip on her she stood upright squaring up to him trying to match his size before landing a swift sharp blow in his jaw causing him to reel backwards she marched forwards grabbing him by his collar and forcing him to his feet sweat beaded on her brow and adrenaline pumped through her veins she felt her temperature rise slightly as her temper built she was almost ready to blow

"You don't fucking control me Barnes"

She spat only for him to send her to the floor with a single swipe to the ankle

"Just remember what you would be with out me, you'd be dead!" He raged "I saved your damned life I can take it away"

It was true she had been in hiding when she met him, she had left her home her job and her family when they worked out she was different she should have died many times and yet somehow just managed to pick her self up and brush her self down she was almost subject to a witch hunt and had made her self homeless jumping from town to town avoiding people who might have known her, that was when he found her she had been hit by a pick up truck knocked a strong 12 feet in to the air and landed on her neck she once again should have been dead but she got up and ran away he had followed and lured her in with promises of safety warmth and acceptance he had loved her trained her and cherished her in to the cold killer that he was once so proud of but she had gone soft since her first run in with Steve Rogers and that grated on him all his hard work time and effort wasted

He laid in to her jabbing her abdomen repeatedly with quick sharp blows she lay still and quiet for a second before a sharp blow to her face lead to her rolling on to her back she looked up at him pain dancing through her almost glassy eyes her nose bleeding slightly her lip beginning to swell he planted a small light kiss on her cheek bone knowing it was nearly time to set his plan in to motion he scooped her in to his arms and laid her semi conscious body on their bed he pulled a small syringe out of the bed side drawer he had been saving it for a special occasion,he jammed the needle in to the side of her neck causing her eyes to flicker and her body to convulse slightly.

He lifted her once more holding her body to his chest resting his head on top of hers inhaling her soft clean scent and placing a small kiss on her forehead, she looked at him with sad pleading eyes although he had kept the plan a secret he couldn't help but feel guilty it was almost as if she knew what was coming, he walked slowly across the room with her in his arms, opening the window he whispered

"I love you, come back to me"
