(ALEXA and TARIA enter.)

INA
We have a crisis, guys. My dad is getting married.

ALEXA
He ain’t getting married if you don’t like her. My mama always said I come before any man.

INA
C’mon, let’s go talk about this under our tree.

(INA, ALEXA and TARIA approach the oak. They sit in the shade.)

TARIA
(Smiling)
My parents are happily married.

(INA and ALEXA frown.)

Cheer up! I have an idea.

INA and ALEXA
What?

TARIA
How ‘bout we just stop they love?

ALEXA

(Shakes head.)
Wow, Ms. Happypants is evil. But, it’s too late, chica. If they getting married, they in love.

TARIA
But we can mess her up! Let’s make a list. Ina, you have your sketchpad?

INA
(Clicks tongue.)

ALEXA
Sorry chicas! My mom is calling me over. Guess it’s time to go. Bye!
