Filip’s POV- June 2015
I took a bite of my dinner and looked at Elias who was in front of me tapping away on his phone.
“I almost proposed to my girlfriend” I said.
His eyes went wide and he put his phone on the table.
“Are you serious?”
I nodded and rubbed my neck.
“She graduates in May of next year and well her dad was asking her about school” I said.
He nodded signaling for me to continue.
“He doesn’t want her to become a housewife” I said making him nod.
“I haven’t met your girlfriend yet because you don’t want us to meet”
I rolled my eyes and took a gulp of my beer. It’s not that I didn’t want Emma to meet Elias because I did. It’s just that she was busy when he was in town.
“She was busy” I told him.
He hummed.
“Sure, you know she’d dump you for me”
I laughed and shook my head.
“Trust me, she wouldn’t” I said.
“So tell me what you mean about almost proposing to your girlfriend?”
I sighed and took a gulp of my beer.
“She is going to be applying for grad school this year, which means there is a possibility I might be in a long distance relationship next year” I said.
“Two years isn’t much though, that’s how long it usually takes to get your Masters”
I nodded.
“She wants a doctorate” I said making him smile.
“Gorgeous and aparantly an almost genius. Why is she dating you again?”
I nodded and let out a deep breath.
“How long have you guys been seeing each other?”
“April, but I didn’t ask her to be my girlfriend until July” I told him making him nod.
“And you mentioned marriage so you obviously love her”
I nodded and he smiled.
“You’d ask her to marry you before she gets that doctorate right?”
I shrugged.
“Cause I’m sure you want her to have your last name”
I looked at him and sighed making him laugh.
“Right?”
“Yes, but that’s really selfish of me” I said.
“So? You’re the nicest guy I know. You can be mean once in a while. You’d be 24 or so if she does it on time. Just relax you aren’t even 21. You have a while before you have to ask”
I nodded.
“As for her dad, well show him you don’t mind sharing you know”
I nodded and he smiled.
“Now let me kick you ass at Fifa”
