Emma’s POV- July 2014
I took a bite of my birthday cake and Angie sat next to me.
“So, like are you flying out from here?”
I looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
What?” I asked.
“To Sweden?”
I shook my head and took another bite of my cake slice.
“No, I’m leaving the 27th” I said.
She nodded.
“My dad got so mad when Filip offered to pay for the ticket” I said.
She sighed and I nodded. My dad was so mad when Filip offered to buy the ticket. My mom said it was because his youngest girl was settling before his other two were. Dad wasn’t ready in other words.
“Who bought you the ticket?”
“It was a birthday gift” I said taking another bite of my cake slice.
She frowned a bit and I shrugged.
“Enough about me, how are you feeling about tomorrow?” I asked.
They were going to play Japan in the Woman’s World Cup Final.
“Nervous, none of us want to fuck up like we did last time”
I nodded and she rubbed my back lightly.
“You know he hasn’t even met Jamie yet” I said sourly.
Angie looked at me and sighed. Olivia was dating Jamie Benn, yet here she was alone with no one by her side. It was different though because he has surgery and what not. I had the same exact surgery and he was being a little baby.
“Emma, you’re his little girl”
I shrugged and stood up.
“I’m going for a walk” I said.
She sighed and nodded.
“Take your phone”
I nodded and made my way out of the hotel. I crossed the street to the park and sat on the bench. My phone began ringing and I looked at the screen.
“Hello” I said standing up and making my way over to the fountain I had seen.
“Hey, happy birthday”
“Thank you” I said.
“What have you done for your birthday?”
“Nothing much really. We just had brunch at a hotel” I said looking around.
“How are things with you and your dad?”
I felt my eyes glass up and I bit my lip.
“He won’t talk to me” I said.
“What?”
I nodded.
“He won’t even look at me. He’s really mad, and my mom just keeps telling me to let him cool off” I said.
He let out a sigh and I could already see him tugging on his hair.
“Emma, I”
I know what he was going to say because Olivia had mentioned it last night. I just shouldn’t go to Sweden to please dad.
“What if we just see each other when we get to Nashville? I’ll fly in early a-”
I hung up on him and turned off my phone. I looked up to see my mom making her way over.
“I just want to be alone” I told her.
She looked at me and sat down next to me.
“Your dad told me to come check on you”
I nodded and looked at the water in the fountain.
“Don’t worry, I won’t fly to Sweden anytime soon” I told her.
I looked at her.
“Filip told me not to go anymore…Happy Birthday to me” I said.
She frowned and tried to touch my hand, but I pulled my hand before she could.
“You can go tell dad that. I’m going for a walk” I said standing up.
She nodded.
“I just want to be by myself right now” I said walking away from her.

Sorry i haven't posted! I didn't have Wifi and i started school again today. I have class in about an hour so i will post another before heading out!
