The New Symphonia Story 41
QUIZ START: After another few minutes of silence in the graveyard you head back to the Inn to sleep for the night. Sheena called Colette, Presea and Raine to talk to her as you bade them goodnight and went to your room to sleep.
"What is it, Sheena?" Colette questioned,
"I've got an idea." she explained,
"An idea?" Raine questioned.
"What is it? Tell us, tell us!" Colette asked,
"What is your idea, Sheena?" Presea finished.
"I want to get Aura something as a birthday present. I was wondering if any of you wanted to help." the ninja explained.
"It's Aura's birthday?" the blonde asked hopefully, "How old is she?"
"C'mon Colette! You've gotta be kidding!" Sheena groaned, and looking at Colette with an 'oh please' look. The blonde looked confused,
"Auras remembered her birthday when we entered Flanior for the first time." Presea told her, "Her current age is 18."
"O-oh yeah." she blushed, "I remember that now."
"Sheena," Raine reminded gently, "Aura told us she didn't want us to get her anything."
"Yeah. I know." the ninja smiled, "But, I want to get her something anyway. A gift for a friend, y'know?"
"Do you think the boys are getting her something?" Colette questioned
"Knowing Lloyd, Zelos, and Genis, I would say probably." the Professor confirmed, "And I wouldn't be surprised if they pull Regal into helping."
"Gr...if that Zelos gets her anything perverted, Im gonna smack him to the next millennium!" Sheena promised.
"What are you going to get her?" Raine interrupted,
"Oh, uh, I-- uh..." she sighed before admitting, "I...Don't know..."
"So you came to us because you wanted help?" Presea asked,
"Yeah." she nodded, "That, and if anyone wanted to help out its okay by me."
"I'll help!" Colette beamed, jumping once,
"It sounds like a nice thing to do." Raine nodded, "I'd be glad to help."
"Is giving someone a 'present' on their birthday a customary thing to do?" Presea asked,
"U-uh...Well...I wouldnt really call it 'customary'..." Sheena stuttered,
"It's what friends do." Colette said,
"...?" the pink haired girl tilted her head slightly, confused,
"Friends give each other gifts on their birthdays." Colette tried to explain, "Like the necklace Lloyd gave me. Even if it was a little late."
"So, if you give someone a present on their birthday, it means you are their Friend?" she asked,
"W-Well you dont have to get them something to be friends..." the blonde blushed,
"It's hard to explain, Presea." Raine told her understandingly, "Just think of it as a nice thing to do for a friend, to show them that you're thinking of them."
"A nice thing to do for a friend." Presea repeated,
"Y-yeah. That's right." Sheena nodded, "Good job, Raine."
"Sheena." the pink haired girl asked, "Could I help with Aura's present?"
"Of course you can!" Sheena smiled.
"I'm glad." Presea smiled,
"Alright. Now that we've decided we're all helping..." Raine said, "We need to decide what to get Aura." after brainstorming for a little while the four girls went to bed, not wanting to be exhausted in the morning.
The very next morning, once everyone had woken, you all head back to the Snow White Accessory Shop,
"Ah, good," the Customizer greeted with a smile, "You've all returned. Here." he handed four pairs of mittens to you, and five pairs to Raine. You distribute the gloves to everyone, and you put the mittens on. Your hands felt warm already, even after only a few seconds in the mittens. *Wow...* you think. The mittens inside felt warm and even a little fuzzy, the bottoms of the mittens had small grips on them, to make holding things easier. After walking back outside, your hands couldn't feel the cold at all,
"Wow... these really work!" Lloyd commented, clenching his mitten-covered hands experimentally,
"No kidding!" Genis agreed.
"Alright. Now, to the Ice Temple!" Sheena suggested.
"Let's get out of the city and fly there."
After getting out of the city you all board your Rheairds and fly east over the arctic continent, following your direction, towards the entrance to the Temple of Ice. After about an hour of flight, you arrive at the temple. However, much to your expectation, it dosnt look much like a temple; because the temple itself was inside the rocky wall,
"You sure this is it?" asked Sheena,
"Yeah." you assure "...This is it."
"What is it, Sheena?" Colette questioned,
"I've got an idea." she explained,
"An idea?" Raine questioned.
"What is it? Tell us, tell us!" Colette asked,
"What is your idea, Sheena?" Presea finished.
