Ngipin

nightmare

She woke up, lungs gasping for air, hands gripping the sheets for dear life. Body bathed in cold sweat, she lied still, adrenaline coursing through her veins like a carp in a river. Until a sudden burst of pain forced her to abruptly sit up, one hand grasping her neck, and the other covering her mouth as she gagged for a few moments, blood trickling down her chin and palm. Trembling, she removed the hand from her mouth, her fingers curling around something.

And there it was, coated in scarlet blood, quickly browning and caking on her palm, a tooth.
