Before there was Harley Quinn; there was Jester. Harleen Quinzel's little sister, Harlow, was the first diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder at 15 after it was revealed that she was sexually abused at the private school she was attending. Jester was born shortly after the man threatened Harlow's life if she told. Jester quickly reacted to the threats and made sure the man never harmed Harlow again.

For years Harlow battled with Jester. Therapy and cocktail of drugs make living with Jester easier. And finally, she goes into hiding allowing Harlow to live a normal life.

Recently graduated psychologist, Harlow gets a job at Arkham Asylum much like her older sister. The people keep her at arms' length once they find out who her older sister is. All but one person; Bruce Wayne.

But something happens to Harlow. Something so bad that Jester finds herself coming out of hiding; jeopardizing Harlow's happiness.
