The Strange Case of Mr Hyde and His Assistant

(my pov - dream)
I was walking around in what looked like the pearly white gates...as they opened Alex came out

“Alex?!”I said running up to him and hugging him. He smiled hugging me back, but at arms length.
“It’s not your time Jessica. You have to go back...as happy as I am to see you, you’v got unfinished business down below. Someone else is to make you smile for the rest of your days and you have to go back”Alex said touching me cheek. I smiled up at him
“It was so good to see you again...this isn’t goodbye..but….”
“I know, I can’t hold a grudge for you falling in love again...he brought you back to life...it’s time you move forward with a man who truly loves you as much as I did...but in a different way” Alex said smiling I was about to say something but I heard an unfamiliar voice.
“And speaking of moving forward…”I looked and saw a very beautiful girl in a victorian dress, her hair was a curly blonde, and in an old english styled up-do. I looked her up and down before my eyes rested upon her necklace….
“Mary..?”I said in bewilderment. She smiled and walked over to me taking my hand
“You did it Jessica...you set Hyde free...and I can’t think of anyone else I would want to see him happy with..you’re such a good person..I’m truly happy for you”Mary said smiling as she hugged me.
“R-really? You’re...not resentful?”I asked biting my lip. She laughed
“I had my time with Hyde...and above all, you avenged my death...I can live here in peace now that my murderer has been put to rest..may he burn in hell”Mary said bitterly. I smiled and hugged her
“He’ll never hurt either of us ever again..but I have to ask...those...injections Jekyll always gave me...did he ever..-”
“Use them on me?No...his love for me overpowered his fear of what could happen to me...I’m so sorry he did that to you...he completely snapped after I rejected him”Mary said looking at me sadly. I smiled shaking my head
“It’s alright..he’s finally gone for good and I can move forward”I said feeling the closure I’ve wanted to feel for a long time..but there..were still things I had to tell Hyde….
“Oh right!You have to go back now!”Mary said looking at Alex
“Yes well you should give her your message then”Alex said crossing his arms
“Right...Jessica, can you tell Hyde I’m okay and..I’m happy? I just want him to let go and move forward...with you...like you...you can grow together...just let him know I’m happy”Mary said smiling at me. I smiled back
“Of course”I said hugging both her and Alex.
“Well, this is the less fun part”He said holding up his index finger. I raised a brow
“Why?”I asked and he poked me sending a shock through me
“Ow what the hell!”I said rubbing my chest
“Yeah, so I’ve gotta shock your soul back to your body so, I’ll see you around Jess..take good care of yourself”He said smiling as he poked my heart and I gasped closing my eyes in pain but when I woke up...it was a bright light...and there….the first thing my eyes lay upon...
(end dream)

I woke up to Hyde’s worried expression as he looked down at me
“She’s awake!”Belle said happily.
“What..just happened?It was...like a dream”I said sitting up and holding my head
“Poison. Agrabahn poison to be exact...it causes hallucinations while the body slowly and painfully goes numb and you die...but I think she’ll want her heart back now...Hyde”Regina said making Hyde blink and look down at the heart
“Is that..mine?”I asked with wide eyes
“We didn’t want the poison to reach your heart lass...It was Hyde’s idea to take it out until Belle and the crock came back with the magic water”Killian said. I looked up at Hyde and smiled
“Saving my life as always...I guess I should get used to this”I said running a hand through my long hair.
“I’ll never stop protecting you”Hyde said kissing my forehead.
“Yes well how about you let me put it back in her chest”Regina said holding her hand out.
“Of course”Hyde said as him and I exchanged smiles.
“I’m not gonna say this will hurt, but it’s definitely not going to feel that great”Regina said. I nodded
“Do what you have to do”I said and with that she rammed my heart back in my chest. I grunted, squeezing Hyde’s hand, but after a cough I felt my heart beating
“Well now I can tell everyone I was heartless for a minute”I said laughing lightly.
“Well at least you have a sense of humor...I’m so glad you’re alright..I felt like we were starting to become best friends”Belle hugging me around the shoulders. I hugged her back
“I don’t know Belle, you sure you want someone like me as a best friend?I am the Hatter’s little sister, I can be...ehh quite crazy sometimes”I said giggling
“Oh shut up!”Belle said helping me up with a laugh. I smiled
“Thank you guys..for helping me..and Killian thank you for killing Jekyll for me...Would of had it.. Y’know, if I didn’t...get injected...with yet another needled filled with something designed to kill me”I said scratching my head
“Aye lass, it was no big deal. I just wished we had seen this sooner….we had it all wrong”Killian said
“I tried telling you guys that!!Like a lot!!”I said annoyed
“When?”Regina said with a laugh
“Oh jee I don’t know how about asking Emma? I told her not to take anything personal when Hyde had your sister and the rest of your group thrown in cages. Do you know how many times Jekyll has tried setting Hyde and I up to go down? Like he was literally relentless. He used to mix up our notes, burn all of our data that we were collecting...it wasn’t until I finally left for 2 years in the land of untold stories did I finally find a cure to split them...because he wasn’t in my way to disrupt my research...we had a lot of people trying to stop us because Jekyll was telling the entire land that we were trying to recreate Regina’s curse!”I said in annoyance
“She’s not wrong. Everyone thought we were in our lab trying to recreate the dark curse. How do you even recreate that with no magic?”Hyde asked and we both laughed

“Wow..sorry it took us this long to listen to you Jess..maybe if someone hadn’t been so secretive”Killian said putting his hand on my shoulder then looking at Hyde. I laughed as Hyde smirked
“What can I say?I’m not really a...team player”Hyde said looking away acting proud. I rolled my eyes smiling then put a hand to Killian’s shoulder as well.
“Hey, don’t sweat it, a few mishaps, but everything still went according to plan”I said
“How are you feeling though?”Belle asked. I looked at my hand seeing my vision was clear. I looked at Belle and smiled
“Actually...much much better thank you..how did you know about the well?”I asked with a raised brow.
“I read...a lot. The well was brought over here with the curse, Regina brought over the miracle water a long time ago...I’m so glad I remembered that too”Belle said. I hugged her after hearing that.
“Belle..you..you saved my life with your booksmarts..I’m in your debt”I said as I sat up and hugged her. She hugged back tightly
“Oh no, there will be no debts. I did this because I care about you Jess...and I don’t do things with an ulterior motive”Belle said that last part looking at Rumple, who rolled his eyes and looked away.
“Regardless, thank you so much”I said happily. She giggled
“Well you’re my new best friend I couldn’t let you go that easily but if you really feel bad maybe once the baby is born a baby sitter once in a while would be nice”Belle said making me laugh
“Oh my dear Belle,I'll take that baby any time. And you and I?We will be as thick as thieves I can just see it”I said putting an arm around her shoulders.
“On another note I think we have just proven the only way to kill a doppelganger”Rumple said looking over to Jekyll’s dead body
“What’s that?”Regina asked looking to Rumple.
“By killing the original..now Jessica found a way to sever the tie between Hyde and Jekyll. Who ever thought that using the scissors to cut a person’s tie to their fate, would also cut the ribbon between Hyde and Jekyll”Rumple said looking at Jekyll’s body still at the harpoon
“I took a leap of faith I guess”I said scratching my head.
“It was Killian..who suggested it”I said looking at him. He nodded with a small but quick smile
“Jekyll threw those scissors into the ocean, so it’s unlikely we’ll find them now…”Rumple said
“Wait...you’re saying..the only way to take out the Evil Queen…”Regina started
“Is to kill you”I finished sadly biting my lip.
“Which reminds me, you are done with the Evil Queen...right?”I asked crossing my arms at Hyde with an annoyed face. Hyde smirked seeing everyone giving him a dirty look.
“Of course. Jekyll is dead.The Evil Queen needed me much more than I needed her..I have no further business in this town other than to be with you”Hyde said pulling me close
“The next time you wanna show us there’s another villain other then you around, just tell us instead of playing these games. You didn’t have to do this alone you know. That’s how our town works. We help one another in times of need...this all could of been avoided if you had just asked for our help instead of locking my friends in a cage”Regina said crossing her arms
“We weren’t sure if we could trust you yet...let alone believe us I mean look at us..we do kind of scream villains by our choice in dark coloring. We just look like villains...but we’re not. Never trust someone just by how they look and act around you...and don’t be so quick to judge”I said eyeing Regina
“Well..yes I see your point. Next time ask us for help though”Regina said with a small smile. I smiled back
“Yes your highness”I said bowing, causing Hyde to chuckle.
20 minutes of us all chatting, and the others realizing Hyde isn’t bad at all. He’s just dark and mysterious..
David, and Emma showed up. Emma hugged Belle then ran to me and hugged me. I was surprised.
“I’m so glad you guys are okay. Jess, Killian, good call using the scissors, just sucks he threw them in the ocean”Emma said holding me at arms length
“Why are you looking at me like I have 3 heads?”Emma asked
"I guess I'm just not used to this many people caring about me"I said with a small smile. Emma smiled rolling her eyes
"You're a good girl"She said hugging me again. I blushed feeling awkward, but a good awkward, hugging her back.
“Jess!”I heard a voice. I saw Jeff and gasped
“Brother!”I said and ran to him without a second thought. He caught me in his arms, picking me up and spinning me,hugging me tightly. I hugged back until he finally set me down.
“Are you okay?Emma told me you were poisoned by Jekyll!I thought I was too late”He said with glassy eyes. I smiled hugging my brother again
“No..it would appear I’ve made some very good friends in this town...but I would of really been a gauner if Hyde hadn’t fed me the water”I said smiling as I looked back at Hyde. He was watching, with his hands folded behind his back
“So this is mr heartbreaker huh?”Jeff said in a protective way.. I giggled
“Come on, let’s go meet him be nice Jeff”I said taking his hand and dragging him to Hyde and the others.
"Ill try"Jeff said in a displeased tone.
Jeff stood before Hyde, looking him up and down with an arm around my shoulder
“So uh...you don’t plan on breaking my sister’s heart again...right?”Jeff asked holding me tighter to him. I blushed shaking my head.
“Brother…”I said embarrassed
“It’s quite alright Jessica..I suppose an apology is in order..I was...in denial of a lot of things.. Including my feelings for Jessica..but I can assure you, I’m not leaving her side ever again” Hyde said with a straight face, showing he wasn’t afraid of my brother
“Well I sure hope so”Jeff said holding out his hand to shake Hydes with a smile. Hyde smirked and shook his hand
“I’m just relieved you’re alright...I thought I was too late when I called Jefferson too”Emma said putting a hand on my shoulder. I was still surprised.
“You were...worried about me?”I asked confused as I stood next to Hyde
“Well yea, you told me you saw something in Hyde that nobody else did..well today I think we got an idea of what you meant...Hyde wasn’t the villain after all..I’m so sorry it took us this long to figure it out...is there anything else we should know?”Emma asked. I looked to Hyde…
“Well..there are some other things...I never told anybody...that Jekyll has done to me..but if it’s alright with you..I’d rather...talk about that in private..with just Hyde”I said looking down
“Jess remember what I said about Archie”Belle pointed out. I smiled over to Belle
“Yes, thank you Belle”I said
“What has he done to you?”Hyde asked. I smiled looking at him
“Wait hold on! What the hell has Jekyll been doing to you in the last 5 years I haven’t seen you” Jeff said crossing his arms. I laughed nervously
“Uh...well I suppose we still have some catching up to do….maybe over some tea”I said and Jeff rolled his eyes
“Sure...as long as you’re alright”He said kissing my head
“I will be...for now...let’s get rid of that body it's freaking me out”I said watching as David covered Jekyll with a body bag. I walked over and looked down at his lifeless body.
“I can hardly believe he’s finally dead”I said staring down at his lifeless body
“That’s a good thing though. He can never hurt you or anyone else ever again”Emma said smiling at me as she put a hand on my shoulder
“Yeah..but there’s just….one thing I’ve...always wanted to do”I said and crouched down looking at his lifeless face
“What’s tha-
I glared and without saying a word I punched him in the face as hard as I could breaking his glasses, cutting my hand on the glasses but smiled as I watched his nose bleed
“Jessica!”Emma said holding me back. Hyde laughed hysterically. Everyone looked at Hyde with surprise
“My apologies but I do believe that is the funniest thing I’ve seen her do in my entire time knowing her”Hyde said wiping an amused tear away.
“I’m sorry I really had to get that out”I said laughing a bit
“Well..are you done now?”Emma asked with a raised brow
“I’d love to chop his body up..or better yet, why don’t we donate his body to Dr. Frankenstein? I’m sure it would come to great use in his work”I said smirking
“Well, it would save a hole in the ground”David said walking up.
“Guys really?I feel like that’s a little disrespectful”Emma said looking from David to me. I rolled my eyes.
“Disrespectful?I’m sorry you showed up a little late, he injected me with agrabahn venom!I almost died!!”I yelled angrily. Hyde put a hand on my shoulder.
“I’m sure what she means is-”
“I want Whale to chop his body up and use it for science just in case the lunatic tries to come back to life or anything.That is what I mean. Chop him up, burn the leftovers..I don’t care..anything but putting him in a hole”I said eyeing the body with no emotion. Emma smiled just a little shaking her head.
“Alright fine. He’s already dead...yeah send him over to Whale’s place…”Emma said looking at David
“Got it”David said picking up the bodybag and walking off. I watched David go, finally feeling closure.
“I think I’m gonna take Hyde home to meet my niece...I think it’s time we started our lives anew, don’t you?”I asked looking at Hyde as I linked my arm with his. He smiled down at me
“Yes. It’s time we move on with our lives and stop living in the past. Tonight, I’m taking you to dinner so dress accordingly”Hyde said making me roll my eyes smiling.
“What?No way!I’m cooking for you guys tonight!”Jeff said linking his arm with my other arm. I smiled rolling my eyes
“Later guys!”I said waving and with that we walked off together.
“How about tomorrow night..tonight...I want to tell you everything”I said looking up at him with sadness in my eyes.
“So then syrah..two glasses?”He asked making me laugh
“Sounds great...let me introduce you to Gracie first”I said smiling as we walked on.
“I’d be honored to meet your niece”He said smiling back.
